Hi @SportRx, I’m currently on a skiing holiday in Austria with my new Article II. So far I’m quite happy with it in good weather conditions. With bad weather ahead I’m trying to change the lens. Unfortunately it doesn’t pop out as easily as shown in the video. Even with a lot of force, it won’t budge at all. Any tips what I can do?

Hello! The Articles push pin lens swap system does require a bit of effort to remove and install. The cold could potentially make it more difficult if the pins get stuck in the chassis. The goggle frame is fairly malleable, so applying some force shouldn't pose any risk of damage. Hope this helps!

The Rx insert concept is interesting but why isn’t the shape better optimized to the goggle? For one I think the compression arms at the top and bottom take up too much space.

Hello! There's a lot that goes into the design of our inserts. We use about 15 different shapes to accommodate a wide range of prescription strengths and goggle types. The prongs act as shock absorbers, helping maintain positioning where the eyes fall in line with the focal point of the Rx lens. They also make it easier to install and remove in addition to protecting the Rx lenses during a crash. A larger lens size to occupy the entirety of the backside of the goggle lens would induce much more distortion and reduce the overall range of view for the rider, while at the same time adding weight to the goggle.

How do you insert the lens into the goggles

Hi! The Article 2 uses a push pin system that connects the lens to the frame chassis. Not quite as intuitive and easy to swap as magnetic attached lenses, but the hold/grip is more reliable than some other quick lens swapping mechanisms.

You cannot tell people about Zeiss pronouncing it with "z". It really is a sign of ignorance. And you claim to be an optics nerd...
