I was in Girona many years ago and I have a memory of a place but I'm not sure if it's in Girona. Is there a place where you have to walk up many steep steps but when you get to the top their is a flat plateau of short grass with one big tree in front of a medieval building, with maybe a museum or something in it?

Yes, it's nice until the volume of tourism drives you out of your city.

Great video, thank you. I’m taking my boys to Palafrugell at the end of August, we’ll be flying into Girona and plan to spend a day there exploring. I was there exactly 30 years ago with my father and have always wanted to return with my own kids. They’re so excited! But not nearly as much as I am!

We met in Barcelona and took a quick train to Girona for the day. Can’t recommend Patrick enough for all things Spain! Thanks for making our Spain trip so memorable Patrick!! 🇪🇸

I'm heading to Girona in a couple of days... looking forward to it... thanks for the great vid, but also for the headups regarding the GOT sites... only one thing I wanted to point out is the Hebrew spelling of Sefarad in your video... it should be ספרד, since Hebrew is written from right to left... Other than that, excellent video. Can't wait to visit Girona!

Thanks Sebastian! Youre gonna love Girona. And you are correct. The spelling was turned around in the pop-up and is revered from the wiring on the symbol. Thanks for pointing that out!

Hi Gilberto! Must have missed this, hope you figured everything out, as it’s tomorrow. But if you’re only going to be in Barcelona for 12 hours I would vary in the city and not leave! To get to Girona, you take the fast trains from Sants

Have you been to these day trip locations during the winter season as well? If so, was the sun shining as well (while still with lower temperatures), or was it both dark and uncomfortably cold?

The sun shines all year long in Barcelona. Dark and uncomfortably cold are not really options. And yes, I have been to these places in every season. Girona specifically has many less people there and is colder, yes.
