The Retay is the best inertia driven design shotgun I have known. Inertia plus and speed unloading too.

I found the Girsan to be very small gripped. I went with a Stoeger m3000 instead. I use mine for ducks though and have really big hands. I may add tape to the grip as it is.

Hi Jeff! did you know that this Girsan MC312 is Cerakoted? I Personally 've got the camo one and I'm very happy with it.

I did not know that ! I read the manual and checked their website. I wasn’t sure if it was cerakoted. I love this shotgun, but I wish they had oversized bolt carrier and release. If I leave the rubber protector on the bolt carrier I love it. The camo version is pretty awesome! I saw it at Cabela’s….

I agree! I love the Girsan MC 312. Friends of mine come to shoot and they like that Shotgun the best! Cycles very well and is very accurate.

I am told the Girsan is a Benelli clone. Do you know which model of the Benelli it is most like and can the Benelli shims be used in the Girsan?

To the best of my knowledge, I believe it’s a Benelli M2 clone. I don’t know for sure but if I had some Benelli M2 shims, I would definitely try it on my Girsan.

Got the Girsan for $420 on a wild Wednesday at Cabelas in YYC...

@@elite-sportshooting I love it, I am going to put the taran tactical ultimate spring pack for a benelli m2 in it and have upgraded to a truglow site on the front. Its an awesome gun

Unfortunately no. It’s the oversized controls that gets me every time. I will see if I can get some oversized controls for the Girsan. But the Girsan handles so well, I do love it and that’s why it’s so hard. The price point alone the Girsan would win, reliability is about equal, both are inertia operated and the Retay has the “Inertia plus” so Retay would win, recoil is about the same, both have a flush mount sight rail so they are equal, when it comes to controls that’s Retay. When you have to compare two very similar shotguns that you love and you can only pick one it’s tough.

Why not pattern test every new gun? That would give use info rather than your opinion. Normal field loads at 20 yds sited right down the rib tells us a lot.
