Hey there, just got myself GItano by Alhambra, this are the best guitar support among the rest i have found, it's small and able to store inside the guitar case and carry around anywhere.

Can a suction cup guitar support also damage a high gloss finish with time?

Got Gitano since 2017 and never had an issue or the finish coming off. Some say that it wouldn't hold properly on high gloss, but I never had that issue either.

what I did with that is put double tape on the suction cups, then it's won't move or slide

As in you basically taped the cups to your guitar? Asking as my gitano keeps getting unstuck

Yes! It depends on where you place the support. Typically they are placed lower on the body, so the cut away shouldn't really effect where the support is on the guitar.
