Peppers are great on their studio albums, but the live performance... The best live band I have ever seen, exploding energy!!!

after 30 years i think that is definitely the best performance of give it away... the energy is just incredible even in a show with no audience... all of them giving it all like they would die if they dont

LOL! I saw the Peppers in '92 with the Lollapalooza concert. They have the same energy and sound the same. I love how they change things up and are so innovative. They have inspired so many bands and individuals to be creative and to be different. Love them!

Happy belated birthday! Hell yeah, Chili Peppers are my second favorite band ever, and BSSM is maybe their best album. John’s guitar tone was immaculate. This was badass too, that ending section was so unexpected. Kinda wish it was longer! Speaking of my favorite bands, do you have any more Streetlight Manifesto queued up? The Hands that Thieve, or With Any Sort of Certainty, or If Only For Memories....really, you can’t go wrong with their music, and you seemed to really love the one song you did.

Got to see the Chili Peppers live a few years ago, when they came back out for the encore Flea did a handstand and walked across the stage on his hands. I love how they've always had the same youthful energy.

I listen to Stern every morning and I couldn’t wait for this episode. It was amazing to have the whole band on the show! What’s crazy too is they were at the LA studio when doing this performance and Howard is on 7:00am EST. Do the math… that’s early af in the morning for them and they still killed it!

Saw them live twice, once with Stone Temple Pilots in 2000 and they were fucking awesome. I may only be almost 40 but I can feel your enthusiasm for this Geebz since you hit the big 60! It's my mom's birthday today and she's 66, she's the biggest musical influence in my early life I love that woman for all the bands she and I would groove to over the years. AARP award for “DAMN SON, What a Performance!!” Goes to RHCP !!! … my AARP eligible Brother caught the Peppers in their college bar touring days and I caught them at a festival back in the festival daze …on both accounts AK did not have his s@!t together and it spoiled the whole worx … this was a great performance of a song and a signature sound that I do love!! Glad AK found the formula to stay above water and above dirt …now I wish I had that type of energy for just once in my life …I really need it for the decade + til I’m AARP eligible!!! 🤬

Flea has such a distinctive bass style, you can always tell when he is guesting on other peoples albums. I love some of the RHCP albums but I am like you and just don't like some albums. the verbal gymnastic from Anthony are still impressive, all underpinned by a solid Guitar and Drums driving through it.
