A very nice warm neutral musical system. I have achieved the same thing after decades of upgrades and improvements to the gear I ended up with, ie resonance control, rewiring internal wiring in speakers mains supply etc. during that time I realised that audiophiles chase the hi fi sound and lose sight of what things are supposed to sound like. For instance vocals, if you listen to people talk or sing in real life you don't hear sibilance the overemphasized s sound but in hi fi people mistake it for detail retrieval and realism. I turned the corner when I read a suggestion to use real life examples like keys jingling, triangles, spoken voice, wind, rain, thunder, piano, all these things should sound natural and real. Once you get this right even recordings that were harsh or abrasive to the point you avoid them now become enjoyable and you hear what the artist intended, this is the musicality that was missing chasing that hi fi sound

Daft punk gave me a copy of this album once when I met them for a project. Had no idea that nobody knew what they looked like and I forgot to ask them to sign it. Lol.

One of my best sounding cds. Would love to hear the lp. Those bent lenses aren't pioneer by chance are they? Ive got some old pioneers in my basement with what looks like a similar lens. Ive not had them out of the cab.
