Hello, QUAD33 has a problem with the balance volume, and after several years of use, it becomes distorted due to a structural problem. Even if you clean it, it will repeat itself after several years. It is effective to replace the balance volume with two resistors.

@@focal7373 The phenomenon in which balance cannot be achieved unless the balance volume is moved to the extreme left or right will occur if the balance volume is dirty.Of course, the sound will also be distorted, and even if you disassemble it and remove the dirt, it will reoccur within 3 years. If you want to prevent this from happening again, replace the 1kΩ balance volume with two 510Ω fixed resistors.

Pretty good vintage equipment there, except for the vinyl scratchy sound. Do not focus on the technicalities. Delight on the musical performance. One of the best Art Pepper's best period.
