Yeah, but shittier. At least at the point where I'm at. He's MASSIVELY overthinking things and just doing absolute nonsense. Blocking his archers with his walls, putting them down below, not just PUTTING FARMS INSIDE HIS FUCKING WALL! It's been a long time since I've watched a proper dick-ripping Yogs stream, but here it is, haha. What confuses me is that I thought Lewis was the competent one out of the Colony crew.

The thing is, his plan would've looked nice if he just built grass blocks up next to the path instead of digging it out. Most of it was already one high and needed just one additional block but instead chose to dig 3 blocks down to make a trench and he gave up with the idea entirely after that.

Lewis could solve his line of sight problem and make his guards way more efficient by putting them above the zombie walkway...there's a reason Obi-Wan took the high ground.

This isn't going to go well for them in the future. I've hit ~500 dudes, and I cannot craft enough crossbow ammo for the new titans that are showing up. It seems like 100 crossbow bolts to kill one, and I get around a dozen at night. Even having enough arrows to take care of everyone else during the day (my maze is massive) as well as my projectile traps are live now, and I have the droppers using about 100 as well. By the time night comes back around, I've just killed the titans and a new wave spawns. This short of mazes they have is going to kill them and wipe them again and again at around 180 dudes once they start working on unlocking crossbow techs. Also, you don't need to keep lock boxes down. Store them in the stash while you don't have any trading going on. If they are empty, they only add unnecessary threat.

@@organicsatanic It's going to hit all of them hard. They all are putting down the basic lockboxes. The next one is only 3 threat and 500 storage. They also need to increase the upward limit of trade goods that can be made, but lower the priority on them. The amount of clay pots and water being gathered is way too low for the future. I have a ton of potters down, in part for making the earthenware, but also for making more clay pots for the various tasks that use them. There's a 5% break chance on a pot, so some go out of inventory. They made the game a lot more brutal, but it is much faster to go for the 1000 dude challenge if you want.

Lewis if u dont want a wall, just dig out a single layer so there a 2 block dirt rise around the base, also u dont realy need a wall, i had and island base in one play through i just had a single bridge and worked fine although 2 bridges is easier 2 defend tbh than 1. Wonder how long till lewis relises he gets a unique ore that the other 2 dont have due to claiming next to the sacred tree :p

That trench is nuts. I have no idea why Ravs decided that all of the water needed to see the sky on its way to Lewis, could surely have just gone underground. Also Ravs was freaking out about a number of his colonists dying on day 22 when he was on day 31.

Duncan's not altogether wrong. If you think of it, rain water has been distilled. The Sun evaporates sea water, which rises up to form clouds and then it rains. Then the rain is filtered through the rock. So it's been distilled and then filtered. And if it's running water, then it doesn't get the chance to become stagnant and fill with germs. I mean, I'd still highly recommend properly sanitised tap water, of course. But it's cleaner water than you might think and, you know, it was totally what the Ancient Greeks and Romans built all those aqueducts to collect as their drinking water. For most of human history, it was the best drinking water available. Which is why water springs were so highly prized - it was actually one of the main targets for the Roman invasion of Britain to get access to the "healing waters" of Bath. And that's why Bath has, well, as its name suggests, the Roman public baths there.

The strat for lewis should be walling off your outside fields, let a few zombies spawn in them, place like one or two shooters to take care of the field zombies, and then have a main gate elsewhere with many shooters and a maze.

I haven’t kept up as of recently, I remember when the first colony survival came out and I loved it, to see you guys post it again was a blast of joy, it’s crazy I’m 23 as of this year, 12 years ago you guys started your Minecraft series with Lewis and Simon and that’s what made me start watching you guys and begging my parents to get me Minecraft on there computer everyday, as a kid you guys made my childhood amazing. Question: If you remove the grass block underneath the berry bush, do the berry bushes disappear? If they don't disappear can you make a two-block high-roof off berry bushes, and will the Farmers pick the berries and we'll do three bushes keep growing🍒?

To answer the first question, no, they don't disappear. To answer the second question, no, they won't. At the very least there's no reason for the farmers to do so, as I'm pretty certain the berries grow fast enough to not require another layer of them, while the farmers will pick the same amount of berries regardless, since it's a set amount of time for picking each berry.

Okay so... This might come across as tryhardy I apologize. Those there them things. The valuable stuff AKA earthenware. If you haven't noticed yet each crafting table has five tabs. Each tab allows you to customize a selection of items that you prioritize as premade quick build groups. My dudes... You've got to have a crafter dedicated to only your valuable stuff. Just set one of those tabs to only earthenware or whatever other valuable thing you need to make . I believe in you!

All three of them being completely inefficient with the area job placements is giving me an aneurysm. But it's quite entertaining, since I know it'll become a problem for them in the future. Oh, and you should always keep berry farmers, since you can create a meal out of the berry meals and bread meals that basicially gives an extra meal for free.

10 x 10 is the optimal area for wheat, barley, cabbage, flax, cotton, hemp, and the three dye flowers that I forget the name of (I use 5 x 20, but that's more-so due to base design). The optimal area for berry farmers is 5 x 5. For chicken farmers and beekeepers, it's 3 x 3. The optimal area for foresters is 3 x 33.

If you think "George" is a weird name for a clothing brand, then consider that when William Herschel discovered a new planet, his instinct was to name it after the King. So, yes, the original name for the planet Uranus was "George". Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and... George. But, basically, as this was stupid, everyone broke the usual rule of "the inventor / discoverer has naming rights" and disregarded "George", continuing the god names theme and calling it "Uranus" instead. Yes, the planet is cursed. First, it was called "George". Then they changed it to "Uranus", launching a million "your anus" jokes. Astronomers like to pronounce it "you-run-us" rather than "your-anus", to avoid the jokes, but the thing is, that sounds like "urine-ous" or that you're saying it's full of piss. So though it stops one joke, it introduces another. Uranus - sorry, I mean, "George" - just can't catch a break. It's cursed to have a stupid name, no matter what, it seems.
