Miranda July recounts the early days of Snarla, a feminist punk zine she created with Johanna Fateman while living in Berkeley, California. A collaboration between two friends, Snarla became an archive of abstract memories and an avenue for self-reflection.
See July’s and Fatemans’ work on view in Copy Machine Manifestos: Artists Who Make Zines through March 31, 2024.
Give Me a Minute is a series of conversations with artists, collaborators, staff, and other people integral to the exhibitions and programming offered at the Brooklyn Museum.
