Hardcore Absolute Fact: I have witnessed few miracles in my life so far, but when you do it shakes the very core of ones soul, heart, mind, and body! Materialism I fades away! Popularity fades away! Self importance of power, fame, and influence fades away! The ego gets smacked in the face!

Have you heard him preach a sermon before? Do you know if he is an expository preacher? How he exegetes the text and handles God's word? Not saying he's poor at it because I don't know. Being a good apologist (which we can debate about Cliffe) doesn't always transfer over to the position of being a good Pastor.

I do wish the vids went back to only having one portion of Cliffe's speaking at the end instead of in the middle too, the question and answer time feels a bit short this newer way. Not saying I don't enjoy you're stories and the shared wisdom, brother, but I just personally enjoyed the older layout. Thanks for sharing as always and Grace be with you, Cliffe :)

I don't agree with Genesis 1 being a poem. No problem for God to create the Heavens and earth in 6 literal days as it says in Exodus 20:11.

I will add and restate something I've stated before on here the days of creation by God are 6 literal 24 hour days everything was done in that pattern for a reason and scripturally it's proven factual as well as scientifically and psychologically I even say psychologically if you want to know why sometime you asked me to let you know but more importantly God is God he has all the power and it's in the scriptures man has written with God inspired that what is true is true then it's true so gods and the evening and the morning were the first day and it was good and it was literal days thankyou.

Jacob Fongemie hi Jacob. I and other sceptics will of course continue to question, as we all should. All Christians can offer is assertions from a book written by superstitious guys for the benefit of other superstitious guys in the Middle East 2 or 3 thousand years ago. With no other evidence that any of the supernatural claims in the bible actually happened, I’m afraid you or Cliffe or any other theists are just not producing compelling arguments. Peace.

Im no athiest but I think the only possible explanation for inherent moral values would be that it was evolutionary advantages in the long term. However this begs the question how such a system (evolution) could randomly generate morality, it would make more sense if it was designed.
@ShopharTemple Жыл бұрын
Genesis 1 and 2 are not poem. The reason why Genesis 2 has man created first is because God filled with earth with plants and animals, but creates man in the garden only, but the garden was empty. God created one more of everything in the garden, out of the dirt, in front of Adam. Eve was the very last thing created, so she did not witness God create anything. Therefore she was the obvious choice for Satan to approach to deceive. Satan would not have been able to deceive Adam, because Adam witnessed God create everything.

Genesis is poetry, what ? I would never go to Cliffe's church. Cliffe is extremely intelligent and educated, but frankly I think because of that he doesn't rely on God, and robs God of His power.

The title of this video 'Answered prayers' is one which I have a keen interest in, from what I've observed in life, there is absolutely no credible evidence of God answering people's prayers. If you delve a little deeper into claims of 'answered prayer' there always seems to be a much more rational and natural explanation.
@henryvirtum15206 жыл бұрын
maybe its both you never know.
@bonnie43uk6 жыл бұрын
@aujuai hughes, absolutely, it could be both, but the overwhelming evidence is that there is no credible evidence of a God who intervenes in our lives via answering prayers. It's a nice thought to a lot of people that God is listening to them and answering their plea's, I get that, but the truth of the matter is, to the best of my knowledge, everything that happens in life has a natural explanation. A prayer by it's very definition is hoping for a supernatural intervention.

bonnie43uk A prayer is spiritual warfare.
@bonnie43uk6 жыл бұрын
@Marlfox. not quite sure what you mean by that. I always thought a prayer was asking God to interact in something which you want to change. Or as a dictionary says : A solemn request for help or an act of thanks.
@sir_marlfox6 жыл бұрын
bonnie43uk As far as human understanding and based on human observation and definition. Yes prayer is as you explained: a request for help, intervention, thankfulness. But how does that get materialized, say in healing, what is happening with the words being uttered? Well words have power, even an unbeliever will usually agree to that. Prayers are sent up toward heaven but battled for between angels and demons. It's why you must pray ceaselessly and at the same time take actions to understand God more. So that your faith can improve and prayers more effectively defended by angels. Prayers can only help. But the battle does not stop simply by increasing your prayers, although a good step. In fact the battle gets bigger as the devil sends more demons and tries to take away your chances. God came as man so that among other things- we could understand Him more, as Jesus. But how genuine must our prayer be? Should the heart of the person praying be set a certain way? Prayer is much more than it's definition. People can pray as they continue to live and be unwilling to change their lives, or agree to change their lives only if the prayer is answered. But on the contrary, we have to meet God's standard which He already set. A prayer is a plee to God for his mercy as you agree to put everything in his hands and live your life for Him in every way that is humanly possible, and being ok and happy if He answers it on His own time and His own way. By then, you should understand that most prayers are answered that way. It's only that understanding/wisdom comes afterward, sometimes long afterward... Anyway I got carried away. It's only that theology cannot explain everything. God and Christianity arent just rules and ideas. It's more of an experience. One that's been around for far longer than our own miraculous existence. God has a plan and a will for us all.
