I spent countless hours watching cliffe and his videos. He does give a unique take on the Bible. Usually, you’ll hear most people preaching the Bible in a yelling way and just quoting verses with little explaining nor conversation with others. Everybody has their own way of preaching so to speak but Cliffe is a warrior of God and that’s the bottom line. He’s planting seeds, he’s no where near perfect; but he’s emitting the light of Christ and that’s what matters.

Though Cliff definitely preaches at times, it should be understood that Cliff is merely engaging in open discussions of ideas and conversations where the topic is the Bible, faith, Jesus, logic, psychology, archeological, history, ethics, religion etc. Preaching is when we use Biblical doctrine and text to convey the gospel of Jesus Christ which is that we are all separated from God because of our sinful nature and rebelliousness against God and the only way to be reconciled to God is through His son Jesus Christ who had to die as a result of taking our sins upon himself because the wages of sin is death. Without repentance and turning to Jesus we will die spiritually because of sin and be eternally separated from God. For this reason God created a path through faith in Jesus and obedience to His word, in which we may live eternally in spirit with God. John 3 teaches that if we believe in Him we will be saved. Now we are left with the question how do I believe in Jesus? This is where you must seek the truth of God and go directly to Jesus in prayer and ask Him for this belief and for faith that comes from Him
@quave3996 Жыл бұрын
@@jandia5162That is exactly what Cliffe is explaining. The Gospel is not merely preaching the Bible, because when the 12 apostles were alive, there was no Bible to quote. The first Christains had no quotes of the Bible and the people who followed Jesus did not know he was going to die & rise until Jesus told them and it happened. The diciples and Jesus had to rationalize with people & give them evidence. Therefore, it is important to connect with people in ways they can understand. Quoting the Bible is important but without espousing any evidence to pursuade them, it can have a counterproductive effect.

Hi! I’m the short one in the grey shirt. We were agitated because before this clip starts, we had been there for an hour trying to ask him a question, and he had been extremely rude to us. This audio on this clip is also edited in such a way that it doesn’t include every time he would talk over us and louder than us to interrupt and stop what we were saying. This clip also doesn’t show when he got down in my face and yelled at me. This “conversation” (which was just him talking over us and escalating the interaction with every sentence) ended with him waving his hand and saying he wasn’t going to talk to us anymore.
@neonoxy Жыл бұрын
@@RebeccaClemonsCWyou see, Cliffe never said he’s perfect. Quite the contrary. And I found out after watching his videos that intellectual dishonesty and hypocrisy makes him angry. To summarise, your friend was being completely illogical to a point in which there was no logical sense to continue the argument in a normal way. “Oh but that’s rude!”, who defines that Rebecca? Is it relative based on your point of view as well? That’s the whole argument you all were having…
@RebeccaClemonsCW Жыл бұрын
@@neonoxy I usually consider an action rude if it is thoughtless, feeling-driven, tactless, and makes the other person feel negatively. For example, Cliffe yelling in my face, I would consider rude. I think that lots of people would think it’s rude. My issue isn’t whether Cliffe’s or out argument was logical or illogical. My issue was with Cliffe not listening. He does this thing where, when you ask a question, he’ll give you an answer, but his answer is to a question that you didn’t ask, and therefore isn’t a real answer. I take issue with that because it’s a tactic that’s used to sidestep. Cliffe does this, and it upsets me, because it upsets me when anyone does it. Another thing that Cliffe does that upsets me is edits sound so that it doesn’t seem like he’s interrupting, that instead he’s the one being interrupted. This clip is meant to frame my friend in a bad light, and it does just that, and very effectively too. But the actual conversation didn’t happen like that - my friend would try to say something or explain or ask, and instead of listening, Cliffe would walk away and spread his hands and interrupt very theatrically. But it doesn’t seem theatrical in this clip because of the camera. Being there and attempting to talk to him, it’s clear that Cliffe doesn’t talk to college kids for them. Cliffe talks to them to get a rise out of them for good content. This clip started after we’d been ignored for over half an hour, brushed to the side in favor of someone he had planted in the crowd to ask a question about salvation, and after he’d already been doing the thing where he doesn’t listen. It’s very frustrating to not be listened to, and this clip shows that frustration. This isn’t a conversation - this basically reality television.

I don’t have enough faith to be an atheist. Romans 10:9-10 “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”
@jasonnoble7302 Жыл бұрын
I don’t have enough faith to be a Christian God is omniscient. When he created the universe, he saw the sufferings which humans would endure as a result of the sin of those original humans. He heard the screams of the damned. Surely he would have known that it would have been better for those humans to never have been born (in fact, the Bible says this very thing), and surely this all-compassionate deity would have foregone the creation of a universe destined to imperfection in which many of the humans were doomed to eternal suffering. A perfectly compassionate being who creates beings which he knows are doomed to suffer is impossible.

The last questioner is the definition of intellectually foolish: he denies the existence of absolute-relative dichotomy which is philosophy 101, and asks for a "source"! The irony of the exhortation to ignore the Christian absolutist by recommending reading and accepting as absolute the works of another, whilst also arguing for plurality and his own personal absolute morals. There are tangible scientific proofs (that God has left us) so that "no one is without excuse" - everyone must believe in Jesus, as it is written. So, for those who say "show me something outside of the Bible"...I would point out these 3 scientific proofs of God - that God Himself has placed here for us, so that everyone has a fair chance to "believe" in Jesus. 1) Creation itself: Many scientists have studied creation and come to the conclusion (by looking at DNA, the impossibility of life forming by accident, the complexity and delicate perfection of our Universe) that it is mathematically 100% guaranteed that some all-knowing, all-wise Creator MUST HAVE created this world we live in - it could not have happened "by chance". Scientists such as Sir Isaac Newton fully understood this, and He also believed in Jesus as the Creator. 2) The Great Pyramid in Egypt is a stone symbol of the Bible [Isaiah 19:19 and other verses]. No one can explain how it was built, but we know WHY it was built. It was built as a testimony to God Himself - proof that God exists. There were 144,000 casing stones covering the Great Pyramid. It was not built by the Egyptians. The New Jerusalem that comes down from Heaven in the Book of Revelation is pyramid-shaped. 3) Perhaps the greatest "Silent Witness" of them all is the Shroud of Turin - the burial cloth of Jesus. Scientists have authenticated it and it is proof (forensic scientific proof) that Jesus rose from the dead, because His photographic (holographic) image is burned into the cloth - and it is a photographic negative, proving that it cannot be a fake. It has been dated to be 2000 years old and His blood stains are still on the cloth. Also, there is a matching "head cloth" (called the Sudarium of Oviedo) which is in Spain, which proves that these 2 cloths once covered the body of Jesus while He lay in his tomb. These artifacts are solid proof of the validity of the Bible account of Jesus dying on the cross and rising from the dead - our only Hope of Salvation. P.S. When people doubt Jesus "the Man" - please remind them that He was no ordinary "Man" - that He was born of a virgin. No one else in all of human history can make this claim. He appeared as a "Man" but He was "God Himself" come in the flesh through the virgin Mary. [John chapter 1, Isaiah 7:14, Like 1:26]

Of course Jesus had a political agenda. Not the politics of the 21st century but politics in its most basic form. In its most basic form, politics is the mechanism by which humans negotiate how we're going to live together. Jesus taught in his ministry how to do that. Whether you agree with him or not is irrelevant.
@boltrooktwo Жыл бұрын
It matters in what context you are saying their agreement is irrelevant. It has a very relevant effect on a person’s life to have a grasp on meaning, value, and purpose. Someone can’t develop moral character if they don’t believe in objective morality. The reality is Jesus Christ taught things that are accurate to human nature, rules that you can’t really break. What really happens is people can choose to break themselves against those rules, to harm their moral character and rational thinking, but those rules will not be broken.
@saintpaulofyoutube4416 Жыл бұрын
@@boltrooktwo I'm only referring to the fact that Jesus taught how we're supposed to live in his ministry. We're still expected to follow his instruction. And we're expected to do it whether we agree or not. This is what I meant by it being irrelevant if we agree or not.
