@@darkeen42 That is very true the heart can lie. By heart I meant the inner man and his carnal desires which are part of his nature. What I wanted to point is that unbelievers do not come to Christ for lack of evidence, they are suppressing the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1) and love darkness rather than light (John 3). I agree the heart can lie because it is deceitful above all things, that is why we always have to confront it with the light / truth of God`s Word.

@koonta6079 God takes those kids who die of cancer to come live with him in eternal bliss. That is the ultimate healing so healing is actually NOT withheld from them. Besides, what happened to death being no big deal? Isn't 2176 supposed to be like 1876, a pleasant non-existence? Doesn't that apply to kids too? Now suddenly pretend to cry about kids dying because it's convenient to use to take a shot at a guy giving his healing testimony? Some people God heals in this world. Some in the next. And some get their demand to live in eternal sickness granted. Which will you choose?

@@T1999-c6u “Hearsay from old men who thought the Earth was flat” (Militant Atheism/relativism, materialism, philosophical naturalism): “The belief that there was nothing, and nothing didn’t really mean nothing as there was no such thing as meaning, and then nothing much happened to nothing except nothing and then nothing suddenly magically exploded for no reason, creating everything, and then a bunch of everything suddenly magically rearranged itself -- for no reason whatsoever -- into self replicating bits which then turned into something that meant everything. But it didn’t really mean everything or anything as everything is meaningless.” (Atheism) Yeah perfectly “sane” and makes perfect sense!! About as much sense as your “flat earth” argument!! And they mock other people’s beliefs!! The fact is that reality and existence and in particular the qualities of experience aren’t made of “matter” they are made of (what matters). “Flat Earth” Ho the irony!! The earliest documented accounts of the idea of a spherical Earth goes as far back as the ancient Greeks. Approximately (5th century BC). This is hilarious because the belief was widespread in the Greek world. The myth of the flat Earth, or the flat earth error, is exactly that a modern myth. And the irony is that it is an historical misconception promoted by militant atheist propagandists that are notorious for history revisionism. You couldn’t write this!! The myth of the flat Earth, or the flat earth error, is a modern historical misconception that European scholars and educated people during the Middle Ages all believed the Earth to be flat. “Lived in a shoe” Ho the irony!! Q: How many theists does it take to change a light bulb? Answer Two. One to actually change the bulb, and the other to videotape the job so militant atheists won't claim that a accidental, random, blind, mindless, magical “nothing” did it. ♥️😎
@georgedoyle7971
@georgedoyle7971 2 жыл бұрын
First option: In the beginning there was nothing. The only problem with that option is that the only thing you get from nothing is…….? Yes exactly right!! A strictly reductive materialism, atheism or philosophical naturalism basically says that nobody took no time to turn nothing into everything a belief that at worst is synonymous with the belief in magic and at best it’s synonymous with the belief in myths and miracles!! I don’t need secular myths and secular religion to know what right and wrong is!! Second option: In the beginning there was just meaningless accidental “matter”. Matter is eternal and everything is nothing more than the by product of an accidental, blind, mindless, pitiless, merciless meaningless random process of atoms and brain chemicals creating the illusion of stable patterns and regularities. However, if this is the “true” the probability of accessing real “truth” about the fundamental nature of reality and existence is very low. Furthermore, according to the expert linguist and brilliant cognitive scientist Noam Chomsky… “There are only two ways of looking at eliminative materialism (the idea that all things reduce to solid substance). One is that it is total gibberish until someone tells us what matter is. Until someone tells us what eliminative materialism is there can’t be such a thing as eliminative materialism and no one can tell us what matter is”. (Noam Chomsky). Equally, the science clearly demonstrates that “matter” is not eternal as the “Big Bang” clearly demonstrates that there was a beginning to even time and space including “matter”. Third option: Mind and consciousness is eternal and collapses matter into existence at the quantum probability wave. An absolute mind and consciousness is the uncaused cause!! Furthermore, evidence from quantum mechanics, particularly quantum superposition clearly demonstrates that at the fundamental level of “physical” reality “atoms” and “matter” , for want of a better word, exists that is unmeasurable, invisible, non locational, bi locational and timeless and is effected by consciousness and collapses at the wave function during the observer effect in the double slit light experiment suggesting that consciousness is fundamental to reality in some paradoxical way. If you posit an absolute mind/consciousness that is non contingent and is collapsing all of reality into existence then you could be a (deist). That is you could come to the rational conclusion that an absolute mind/consciousness necessarily exists. However, deists don’t believe that humans can have a personal relationship with the absolute as the absolute object of reality and existence is inexplicable and intangible. Fourth option: Just like the deist you believe that mind and consciousness is eternal, non contingent and all powerful. An absolute mind and consciousness is the uncaused cause! Equally, like the deist you believe that this absolute ontological ground of reality, existence, mind and consciousness is intangible and inexplicable. However, the difference is that you believe that the absolute ontological ground of reality, existence, consciousness, absolute truth, absolute value and ultimately absolute love paradoxically has the power to take the form of finite matter. The fact is that 2.4 billion people believe that this happened already in the form of the birth, life and horrific death of Jesus Christ. According to the brilliant author and Oxford professor JRR Tolkien…. “The Birth of Christ is the eucatastrophe of Man’s history. The Resurrection is the eucatastrophe of the story of the Incarnation. This story begins and ends in joy. It has pre-eminently the ‘inner consistency of reality’. There is no tale ever told that men would rather find was true, and none which so many sceptical men have accepted as true on its own merits. For the Art of it has the supremely convincing tone of Primary Art, that is, of Creation. To reject it leads either to sadness or to wrath.” (JRR Tolkien) So your left with no other option but to provide a logical and rational argument as to which of the four options is the most plausible option or provide a fifth more plausible option. I rest my case!! No offence intended all the best to you and your family and keep safe ❤️

Of course if Jesus was to descend from heaven I would be THRILLED because He’s my Savior. He sacrificed His life for me to live even when I didn’t deserve it. However, as a believer, I can stand on faith alone that Christ is real and that He resurrected. That He did heal blind men and made deaf men hear and dumb mean to speak. God is still doing miracles today! And as an atheist I understand that you would expect or want to see Him perform miracles in front of you in order to believe but here’s a scripture: “For we walk by faith and not by sight” 2 Corinthians 5:7. He’s done miracles before and it doesn’t mean they’re not still happening because it’s not in your face. But if you want some proof that He is real just look at how the solar system is still in order, the waters has not flooded the Earth, that we are still alive, our body’s functioning. You said you would love to have a real life encountering with Jesus. Jacob, I plead to you to call on the name of Jesus. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13). Ask Jesus Christ to come into your life and reveal Himself unto you so that He may help your unbelief. I promise you if you give Christ a chance He will indeed change your life forever. The Bible says “ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believed in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and if you believe in Christ, you are a new creation, the old you has passed away ( 2 Corinthians 5:17). this was from a couple years ago, so he's older now. for the most part people don't want to change. once they get a certain age they become that person and it's a one way course. hopefully someone looking for God actually opens their heart than their eyes. obviously people who might believe God without a doubt can still deny Him. right? the devil knows God, the devil can't deny God exists, yet hates him. even if God showed himself to everyone, it doesn't guarantee that they love him. and even so what kind of God forces us to bow our knee and love him with the threat of hell? that's not a loving God. but He allows us to come to Him on our own terms. why would an arrogant person change if they're happy being who they are without knowing God?

I’m thinking about that question now and my only answer to the question is if as a believer you know God knows your true intentions it would make sense to acknowledge that said person doesn’t actually want to believe in God perhaps due to past situations. Consciously they’re trying to convince themselves that God is real but subconsciously they deny anything that they see headed towards that direction. But then again, I believe even the effort of WANTING to believe in God is enough for God to see a genuine desire to accept him and that will be good enough. When people doubt the credibility (the hearsay argument) of the gospels they seem to forget that the closest disciples followed Jesus for three years, he was their rabbi, a guru you could say. They witness him raise people from the dead, walk on water, cast out demons heal the blind and lame...And preached the most amazing things. Would you not start taking notes? Or as they did in their time remembered by repeating and memorise everything this amazing MAN(?) did? If he is who he claims to be, he is the most amazing human being who ever have lived, would you not remember and write down what he said and did do????? And then later people wanted to collect all that into writings so that everyone could hear this amazing thing. And the supposed contradictions is actually making it even more reliable, it´s like when different newspapers reports from the same accident. There are some different views how things happend but if you put it together you will still see that it is the same story from different witnesses or different views.

The dude keeps wanting Jesus to show himself now when in reality that’s the last thing anyone who isn’t right with God should want! @@trumpbellend6717 it doesn’t matter if this is an assertion or not, the point needing to be made is that he wants concrete proof but when you finally get the proof it WILL BE TOO LATE. There is however very clear evidence that points to who Jesus said he was and that he was very much alive and preaching the coming of God and getting your life together. There isn’t anything in the world that could prove to anyone that God exists but there is substantial evidence that points to him being the one TRUE living God. The issue is he wants God to prove himself when the reality is that’s the last thing God needs to do and it’s not for God’s sake but ours. Jesus talks about a parable about Lazarus and the rich man at which some point Abraham tells the rich man if your brothers wouldn’t believe a man was raised from the dead what difference would it make if Lazarus came down and told them. Dodd comments, “There can hardly be any purpose in mentioning the fact that most of the 500 are still alive, unless Paul is saying, in effect, ‘the witnesses are there to be questioned.’” Therefore the game of telephone objection fails flat on it's face. Cliffe often evades the question "what happens to people who live a good and honest life, but doesn't believe in God?' with giving reasons to latch onto the belief, but that doesn't really get to the crux of the question presented. I think Christians need to start answering this question, instead of flipping the question. What happens to those who live graceful lives but can't ever fully commit to Gods existence for one reason or another? Ultimately, we do not know. Only God knows. What we as Christians do know, is that God is all loving, holy, just, merciful, and graceful. We also know that we were created in his image and likeness. Now, God cares about 3 things above all else; faith, hope, and love. Of these 3 things, God ultimately cares about love above all else. I as a Christian, have immense faith in God, but struggle with faith in people. I as a Christian, easily have hope. I hope I get to go to heave, I hope I get to wake up tomorrow. I hope all my friends and family get to go to heaven. I hope that one day, peace will come. I think we all have great hope to some degree. Now as a Christian, I struggle with love the absolute most. I find it hard to love people who wrong me or others. I find it hard to be selfless and giving because naturally I am selfish. Love is by far the most difficult to achieve. Now, because we're made in Gods image and likeness, we are given sympathy, compassion, understanding, reasoning, and grace, just like God has all these characteristics. Lets pretend for a moment that I am the all knowing and all powerful God. Come judgment day, if standing before me is someone who spent most of their life doing graceful things and loved so many people, even once that they probably shouldn't have had a reason to love. Grew as a person and only became more graceful in age, but they lacked a faith in me and just couldn't ever wrap there head around believing in something they could not see. They did so many meaningful and wonderful dead's and truly loved with all their heart. If come judgment day, standing before me, and now finally getting to see me, if that loving person humbled themselves before me, I would absolutely forgive them and let them into my eternal kingdom so that they can now get to finally know and put faith in me. If I have the ability to love another person and show them that level of grace, its my belief that God (who is significantly more loving than any person in human history) would absolutely forgive those people and let him into his kingdom. Any Christian that walks around damning non-believers to Hell, is living on a high horse, and being a hypocrite, and those are 2 very dangerous combinations, especially for a Christian who is held to higher standards and should know better. Leave all judgment up to God, and preach his words with kindness and love in your heart. The dangerous thing about this explanation is someone who thinks their better than the rest and will ultimately go "oh cool, if heaven is real I'll definitely be there because I'm a good person, so I'm just not going to give God any consideration or thought. That's why the most important thing above all else is that God knows what's truly in your heart, and you cannot hide it from the all mighty God. Any non believers that end up in heaven will be ones that truly show love and mercy, and are not at all on a high horse of pride. Do to others, as you want done to you. God will judge you, based on how you judge others, and any mercy shown is at the free will of his grace, which comes from a place of being the all knowing God. I think this is the best way to answer that extremely hard question. God bless you all!

This is an age old question that Jesus already provided the clear answer. The bible also prophesies future about this. The problem is not lack of evidences, but it is people's hardened heart. Here is why. Luke 16:30-31 indicates that impossible miracles won't persuade people. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to the earth ~2000 years ago. He performed miracles. He loved us. He healed us. He showed nothing but compassion to our weakness. What did we do? We crucified Him; and He died for our sin, so that anyone who believes Him can be saved (John 3:16). He resurrected after three days, and how did people respond? Matthew 28:11-15 gives us the answer. Now, let's look into the future. Our God is loving God. But He is also just God. He is patient God, but at some point, He must punish sin. The bible describes judgement on earth, called the tribulation, that will last 7 years. Genuine believers, both live and dead, will received the glorified body and taken to heaven before the tribulation (1 Corinthians 15:50-58). Many things, including supernatural events, will occur during the tribulation. At this point, no one will deny that God exists. Revelation 6:16-17 and Revelation 16:8-9 reveal that people will still not repent, but blaspheme God. After 7 years of the tribulation is 1000 years of genuine peace under rule of Jesus Christ and His saints who received the glorified body before the tribulation (Christ's Millennium Kingdom). People who accepted Jesus Christ as Savior during the tribulation and survived will start repopulate the earth (in their current mortal body). It will be a society where sins, crimes, and all bad things that you can imagine are greatly reduced. But what will happen at the end of 1000 years? There will be the one last rebellion, led by satan. Revelation 20:7-10 tells us that many, who lived in 1000 years of peaceful society, will join satan in his final conquest. After the Millennium Kingdom is the eternal state, where God destroys this corrupted earth and make the new and perfected earth. God will forever live among us! (Revelation 21 and 22). So what does this tell us? The problem is not lack of evidences (it is a really a poor excuse if you think about it). The problem is people's hardened heart and no amount of evidences will change them. People just don't want to be with God and held accountable for their actions. We, the Christians, are here on earth to be Christ's witnesses (Matthew 28:16-20). We will be happy to share the gospel with everyone. To believe or not to believe, that is business between you and God. We pray that you will make the right decision. I believe we are currently living very close to the end time. I believe Jesus is right at the door for His second coming. I will leave with you a video that provides very good evidences why. God bless you. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoOvaWaMrb-Hias

Christians thinking they need to convert/save unbelievers is akin to the moral this African proverb: "How the Monkeys saved the Fish" (Traditional Tanzanian Folktale) The rainy season that year had been the strongest ever and the river had broken its banks. There were floods everywhere and the animals were all running up into the hills. The floods came so fast that many drowned, except the lucky monkeys who climbed up into the treetops. They looked down on the water where the fish were swimming and jumping out of the water as if they were the only ones enjoying the flood. One of the monkeys saw the fish and shouted: "Look down, my friend, look at those poor creatures. They are going to drown. Do you see how they struggle in the water?" "Yes," said the other monkey. "They could probably not escape the floods, because they seem to have no legs. How can we save them?" "I think we must do something. Let's go close to the edge of the flood where the water is not deep enough to cover us, and we can help them to get out." So the monkeys did just that. They started catching the fish, but not without difficulty. One by one, they brought them out of the water and put them carefully on the dry land. After a short time there was a pile of fish lying on the grass motionless. One of the monkeys said, "Do you see? They were tired, but now they are just sleeping and resting. Had it not been for us, my friend, all these poor animals without legs would have drowned." The other monkey said: "They will be very grateful because we have saved their lives."

You have all been misled about the Rapture, this is how it will happen - Jesus and his Angels will be sitting on their clouds holding fishing poles, they will tie bibles on the end of their lines and lower them to Earth. All the faithful Christians will see the bibles hanging in mid air and naturally they will grab them and be reeled up to their Paradise in the sky. To anybody observing this spectacle it will seem as if they are all floating upwards. When all the Christians have gone the World will be left to us evil Heathens, and what a great World it will be with no God freaks around. No more street Preachers screaming about the horrors of Hell and the vengeance of Jesus and no more Jehovas waking us up from our hangovers at 11AM every Saturday. We'll turn all their churches into beer halls and Honky Tonks. Let the fun begin .......... Jesus, bring the Rapture on now.

How can I prove Jesus Christ rose from the dead and called me to preach on his behalf?"_ I can't prove that! If I'm called to preach on God's behalf, I should be able to prove it. Hebrews 2:3-4 KJV _"How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; _*_God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles...."_* As far as I'm concerned, according to the Bible and rational thought, *THERE IS NO EXCUSE* for this preacher to not be able to prove what he claims!! Instead, that question blindsided the daylights out of him. Observe his face from the 1:00 mark to 1:08. Notice, he never provided proof. He threw up a few red herrings and straw men, then accused the gentleman who asked the question of being insincere (which is a form of gaslighting). Then at 5:57 he finally admitted _"Sir, I can prove almost nothing..."_

Cliffe makes excellent points but sometimes tends to make us go “wait a minute” but just because he’s imperfect at what he does not mean that God isn’t any less of who he says he is. There’s a reason why faith is important, because God knew people would question this and go against him this way. From a logical sense, why would God need to come down today and prove himself like he did at Mount Sinai or dying on the cross? He already has demonstrated his power. We live in this generation where it HAS TO BE RECORDED by camera or its a bunch of rubbish. Yet, videos can be altered correct? The word of God cannot be altered In a sense, only attacked. I suggest these college students question themselves as to why they even believe in a Genghis Kahn or a Joan of Arc. After all they could be stories. Paul says that if Christ DIDNT rise from the dead, the entire gospel is rubbish junk basically. Paul died for no reason? I find that hard to believe. I have faith Christ died for me because he changed my life after I asked him to come into my life.

@@SolidPain6624 I have a question please. You said _"The word of God cannot be altered In a sense, only attacked."_ What exactly is the word of God?

@@laurasimmons918 In John chapter 20 Thomas, one of the Lord's disciples became an atheist after the crucifixion. Thomas's close friends told him: _"we have seen the Lord, He has risen!"_ However, Thomas replied: _"I can't just take your word. That's an extraordinary claim which requires extraordinary proof. I can't believe it until I've observed it for myself."_ A short time later the Lord appeared to Thomas to show him the wounds in his hands and sides. Then Thomas became a believer. I would like to make two points. Point 1) Why is there a special place in hell for atheists and agnostics like myself who ask reasonable questions about such extraordinary claims? The Lord didn't respond to Thomas saying _"How dare you doubt me!! You'll burn for your lack of faith!!"_ The Lord appeared to Thomas and gently reassured him. But for some reason, if a person takes up the same position as Thomas, they're _"playing a dangerous game."_ why does belief have to be predicated on fear? Point 2) I don't know if the narrative in John chapter 20 actually ever happened. Modern-day theologians, historians, and scholars agree that whatever was allegedly written by eyewitnesses of the Lord's ministry was "lost" a long time ago. The manuscripts we have today are copies of copies of copies of copies that are full of errors, discrepancies, and contradictions. The four gospels in the Bible came off of that pile which is all the more reason to ask questions.🤔

Could be argued this way too. Premise 1: God cannot sin. Premise 2: Jesus is God. Conclusion: Jesus never sinned. If God exists and came down in bodily form to humanity in the form of Christ, which the historical accounts heavily point to, then we can trust that Jesus was sinless.

If a girl tells me she loves me and her pattern of behavior constantly comports with that claim, I'll believe her. But if an anonymous person who has never met this girl claims that she loves me on the bases that she created the moon as a token of her love for me it would be absolutely to believe it. So then I might ask. "okay okay, but if she really loves me, why doesn't she just come tell me?" and your response is "isn't this random, implausible claim enough? You're rejecting her love! And that's fine. That's your choice. But you're just being stubborn and your love is doomed" Wow. Great insight cliffe.

Everything Cliffe says depends on first assuming the gospels are accurate accounts of the historical Jesus.
