He claims there is no winning or losing. Would be a pretty stupid message to spread for a "wolf in sheeps clothing" The only reason you could possibly think this is if you do not believe in Christ.

I was an atheist until last year. I was 28 years old when I accepted Jesus as my savior. A little while before that, I watched videos and debates like these, and I promise I never had any sort of great revelation because of something Cliffe or Stuart said. But they did raise a couple points that stuck with me enough to look deeper into it. I investigated other Christian sources, including the Gospels. I can't quite nail down exactly when I accepted Jesus. Closest I can get is one Thursday night, I was in bed and I decided to ask God to grant me the courage to tell people that I'm a Christian now.

Yes, this is the best cliff video I have seen and probably over a decade. That's not an exaggeration. This is the old cliff that I used to think did such a good job. And I'm near the very end of the video. Where he's talking to the young man. He's somewhat baptism, and so forth. Exactly right. The works don't save you, but if you naturally have given your life to Christ and you love him, you actually will want to do those good works. That's where I keep telling people what the 10 commandments. The 10 commandments the 10 commandments are still true. Today they still stand they weren't nailed to the cross. Otherwise it'd be okay, there. Go out and get. It'll someone whenever you want or be okay to steal it from your brother if you wanted to, but it's not okay. It's wrong objectively. The fact is the 10 commands are still true today, but it's out of that love for God and for your fellow man that you do those good works because you're already saved and you'd want to do those Amen.

Baptism is definitely required for salvation though.
@OurSavior-xr3yc7 ай бұрын
@@BrockJamesStory This has been explained many times over and over again by many people, including myself and the scriptures are very clear. You're not wrong but there are special exceptions which God has written the scriptures. Or there's the baptism of the Holy Spirit at a time when you can't do the physical by John did and the Jordan. Will there be the thief on the cross? For example? Whether it be a deathbed conversion, which truly is a real spiritual conversion. That sounds as Liang or afraid of dying. But truly a conversion of the heart and other examples. Anyway, you have a nice day. Gonna be a very busy one for me. God bless you.
@BrockJamesStory7 ай бұрын
@@OurSavior-xr3yc That I would have to disagree respectfully brother. No physical baptism is required today. Only the baptism by the Spirit into the body of Christ. The water baptism of repentance is not required today, that was for the nation of Israel because they were going to be a nation of priests.
@OurSavior-xr3yc7 ай бұрын
@@BrockJamesStory I said it is. You need to read my words carefully. However, the thief in the cross was unable to be baptized. Was he but Jesus Christ himself made a promise now. People misunderstand that verse because they think the thief is already in heaven. But he's not, but that's another discussion. My point is Jesus promised him because he already had his repentance right there on the cross and he was gonna die on the cross. But that thief would receive his repentance, forgiveness and salvation all-in-one and that he would not need to be baptized as he was baptized by Christ. In those words to him. No, that's not a common thing. But there are exceptions for obviously common sense. And God has the best wisdom that any of us ever could have. Okay, I've always a lot of people would never be saved. That will actually be saved. That will actually be saved. That's another reason why the verses in the Bible say some of the people that you would think aren't goingna be saved are gonna be in heaven and the ones who you think we'll be in heaven won't be now. That's just one example. This other examples too where people thought they would be saved. But they're not whether because they were false Christians. But people believe they were real Christians. People's hearts were never really changed. For example, it's actually, etc. Regardless, you're wrong. Otherwise, half, the verses in the Bible are drunk. And if you can't believe those verses then you must throw out the rest of the Bible and trust me, I don't throw any of the Bible. I read in context.
@BrockJamesStory7 ай бұрын
@@OurSavior-xr3yc That may be true if there was only one baptism. However there are multiple baptism's in the bible. So your saying there are two baptisms that can save people today, but that is not true. As our apostle for the dispensation of grace tells us there is one baptism. Jhon the Baptist makes a clear distinction between water baptism and the baptism of the Spirit. Paul tells us the baptism that saves today is not water baptism. I did read your words. You said there were two baptism's today, but there is not which is why I said the only baptism today is by the Spirit into the body of Christ. Not water baptism.

when someone's worldview is challenged to the degree that it evokes the kind of emotional response as it did with this first person, it's often a very good thing. you can see they responded wrongly by pursuing power (winning the argument) vs pursuing Truth. interestingly and on a positive note, he at LEAST chose to try to dominate intellectually and not some other toxic way like shouting over others. He seemed intelligent which gives me hope that in time he will grow more self-aware. The cult-of-woke thrives when it's unchallenged and sometimes just a strong challenge against it is what's needed the most. Some people are more in touch with reality than others and the ones most out of touch have bought in deeply to these woke ideologies. they also tend to keep to echo chambers and avoid going anywhere near people or ideas that challenge their views. the fact that he's there facing it and not running away or shouting them down is respectable in a way. it may have all just been a game to him but something tells me that's not 100% true.

I have some good news to report Jesse, i retire in just under 2 months time, my days as an ambulance car driver are coming to an end, so i will have a lot more time on my hands to spend more time discussing theological matters on here and on various other channels. Can you think of a better subject to discuss regarding morality, life, death, why we are here, the meaning of life etc etc. Although the 2 companies I work for have asked me to stay on, I shall continue to work for them on a part time basis, giving myself a bit more time to engage with people with different views. ❤

@@jessebryant9233 How does your faith in the Christian God being always truth telling any better then my blind faith in the universe structure always being truth revelling ? What is your justification for faith is better then blind faith exactly?

Appreciated the dialogue at the tail end regarding baptism. And just as a general observation, it seems like I'm most typically coming away from dialogues like that persuaded that someone has taken an uber-legalistic view of the New Testament that erroneously has led them to give the act of baptism more weight than the commitment itself, or like in this case, mischaracterizing baptism as-if just any other command, like taking communion. Since the latter is actually argued here, let me highlight that there is clear and compelling evidence that the NT writers routinely connected baptism to the conversion "process"( for lack of a better term). In fact, while you won't find anyone speaking of forgiveness of sins being an outcome following communion, as I'm sure the reader realizes, Luke specifically reports that Peter specifically told the Pentecost crowd that forgiveness of sins is an outcome following baptism. Peter would write later that "baptism saves you." Paul wrote of "putting on Christ" like we would put on our clothes, and that baptism is in fact how we put on Christ. None of these citations, I'm sure, are new revelations to most people reading this. Then, when you add that, of all the examples Luke told us about of someone giving their lives to Jesus, not a single one failed to mention the baptism, and still more compelling, all of those immediately or almost immediately were baptized... it gets difficult to minimize baptism as-if somewhat tangential to forgiveness. Look. I believe John when he wrote "Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God." For those that want to define the split-second that God extends to us forgiveness, that tells me all I need to know. But let's not stop there. John goes on to connect our status as children to loving the Father, and loving the Father to obeying what's been commanded. Baptism is commanded. My love, John suggests, is either made explicit by my obedience, or it's revealed to be lacking or even a fraud. My commitment is validated through my obedience. Indeed, the early NT writers routinely seemed to consider belief, repentance, and baptism as all elements of the same thing--to the degree that you can find scriptures that only mention one of the three, at times, in regard to conversion. The observation has been made that it's analogous to how we do marriage: the most important element is the trust two people put into each other (belief), that leads them to make the commitment itself (repentance), and as soon as practical, to say their "I do's" (baptism). It's all integral to being married. It's all integral to how the NT writers lay out how conversion is to happen, as well. If you are still reading, thank you for walking through it all with me, and I hope you didn't find it a waste of your time.

As I've heard, people don't necessarily go to "Hell". When the end times come or we die, people that don't believe in Jesus: God is our Lord, they will perish eternally. So when we look to Jesus, we are BORN again through Him, if I'm not mistaken. our sins forgiven as we walk the narrow path. Clarify me if I am wrong. Cliffe , I have seen so many of your videos. You make very good statements especially in FINDING the TRUTH. I just wanted to also let you know I appreciate you exposing the smoke screens that try to deter my generation.
