Vegeta stated that it’s out of control and needs to be refined to be useful meaning it’s got impurities. It’s almost in a way a false super saiyan form. It’s not supposed to look or act like that.

This movie has a lot about reference involved. Like it's more focused on being a parallel universe where some events and characters were changed and/or joined in the same meeting so that all these references to the nostalgic people on duty could get emotional when remembering or getting the refs. As for those who started following Dragon Ball only from Super. Examples of this are: There's the stop of Goku's promise to ChiChi that he doesn't remember because the promise was made when they were both children and put out a volcano helping the Cleaver King (ChiChi's father) And when they meet again Goku and ChiChi are around 15 years old. The Martial Arts Tournament that has always been the pinnacle of classic child Goku animation. Broly who is the real Legendary Saiyan, but has his mind all troubled and who never said Vegeta's name in the anime (in the post credit scene of this fan movie, he says). Vegeta as the King of Saiyans and already with control over his Saiyan power before Goku. The Goku who awakens the power of Son Wu Kong (from the Journey to the West, from Chinese literature). Vegeta's viewer showing more than 9000 (here in Brazil the meme is + 8K). Akuma's ref, Akira Toryama, Naseer P. himself, among others, in the beginning scenes at the Tournament's door and in the stands, there are many characters making "cameos" too. Classical songs. Vegeta and Goku doing a KameHameHa, and Vegeta has NEVER used this attack. Vegeta's Ki sword he creates alludes to the sword Trunks uses in the future. Vegeta and Goku on an equal footing in terms of importance for the Dragon Ball franchise and not just Vegeta being a supporting player as well as everyone else who is not Goku.

Man, love your reaction, you're speaking facts throughout the video. Dragon Ball legit should have been like this, they did the Saiyan concept dirty, it supposed to be a monkey race, not a hair color changing race like bruh.. Also, the plot about war between planets or Frieza/Broly vs Vegeta sounds much more epic than a plain tournament between 8 universes. The plot needs to have stakes and consequences.

I like how this time Goku is portrayed with insane potential, but out of his depth. Giving Vegeta a mentor/brother in arms kind of role. I love how Vegeta and Goku both are the main characters and get their moments. Vegeta gets the spotlight, Goku gets the badass power-up, but it took both of them to defeat Broly. How often does the last one happen? Almost never.

What I like to think is this is what life would be like if Frieza didn't exist, as the Saiyan race continued onward, Vegeta would have grown up with his race training rigorously getting beefier than what we saw at the beginning of DBZ and the reason why Broly has his scars is because he went berserk and tried to murder his own kind but they stopped him with Vegeta leading the charge against him and he ended up winning forcing Broly to retreat and ever since that day he trained even harder with a true purpose and drive pushing him allowing him to achieve Super Saiyan. Honestly I don't find it to be so farfetched because when Vegeta was in his late 20s when he first fought Goku he was several times stronger than other Saiyans we have seen before with most of them having a P.L of 1,500 to 10,000 and Vegeta was over 18,000, he was almost 2x stronger than Bardock and this was when he was training with just Nappa and maybe Raditz because his planet was destroyed, so imagine how crazy strong Vegeta would have been is he still had his home planet. As for why Goku is still on Earth... hey the animation is awesome, stop asking so many questions haha

I love how each of the 3 transformations we see are different. Broly gets physically more buff when he transforms and has glowing scars. I’m not too knowledgeable on dragon ball, so I’d appreciate anyone explaining anything relevant about his character. But his physical height difference really adds to his fight with Vegeta as he is the more physically imposing combatant and took quite the beating showing a power imbalance between the two. Goku has the most drastic change and I believe personally that this is to represent not just a change in power level but also a psychological change as well, seeing as he fights more animalistic afterwards. Vegeta has no physical changes because why would someone so prideful want to change himself? In other words Vegeta transformed into Vegoat
