I think reds sacking into your cap play was this. You were trading cards on the position next to their cap. You stopped trading (as you were setting up a black card block). But I assume red saw it as you stopped trading with them, and when they came looking, saw your black card block and may and panicked it was for them. So wanted a centre position on board to stop that.

Black and red were both playing passive early so I figured I'd be able to get the fortify over with little trouble
