For all the flack the Ultimate Line of comics from the early 2000's got (and usually deserved) they really showed just how chaotic the weather is. Storm at one point summoned clouds of sulfur (i think?) and made it rain blood (Ultimate!Storm wasn't a vampire).

One can say Ororo does to considering her heritage but for now it's confirmed of course this is her mutant based powers. She spiritually connects to the fundamental elemental energies of a planet and it's life force....biosphere and the energies of the universe. She manipulates all the energies in various ways not just calling on a type of storm. Like how she can manipulate the elements in your body, create air for herself underwater, manipulate electrical forces in machines, remove oxygen from fire, or gather atoms in space to create lightening and manipulate the suns energy. She is weather but not just weather. She is an energy manipulator of every energy that governs the weather down from a molecular and atomic level. Since weather is all around us and some of it's related energy is in us and is essential to a planets survival; runs throughout the universe, she is the epitome of a force of nature which is really her true title. She controls its all on a deeper level than Thor does.

This scene is everything. Rarely do we see storm use soil/sand, and now that she did, she takes it to another level by transforming it into glass before ravaging her foe. And that speech is flawless, speaking to the sand like it's alive, and commanding it to reclaim and bury the sentinels back into it. Perfection!
