I remember watching this Days Of Future Past scene in the cinema! The moment Storm gets stabbed, you could literally hear the combined gasp from the audience. The film really took it's 'Characters' seriously, over it's 'Fans'. It's a shame that this is something Marvel has lost; with death no longer been taken seriously. They managed to cleverly write Loki back into Season 1 and 2. And even a plausible reason with Gamora, in Guardians of the Galaxy. But what with Downey Jr. returning.......it's just all getting a big silly now.

This scene is still more epic and intense than any battle scene I've seen in the MCU. There, you know the heroes are going to win eventually. This movie succeeds so well in keeping you on the edge of your seat until Raven ie Mystique drops the pistol. I'm still not a big fan of this Rogue Cut. I think it's much better that Kitty is so mortally wounded that she can't help anyone. And it's much more powerful that Bobby dies protecting them toward the end. And besides, Bobby is supposed to be practically immortal. He can come back from the steam after being melted from what I hear. If he dies early on, it makes no sense that we wouldnt see him come back later. But if he dies close to the end of the movie, we could argue that he'll come back after everything is said and done.

Not this guy, the producers. There are two versions. This version, Kitty is so wounded that Rogue has to take over. Iceman dies getting Rogue to the base. A piece of Sentinel gets stuck to the X-Jet when they escape, so there's now a reason why the rest of the Sentinels find them. Kitty pulls Magneto inside instead of Blink because she's free.

Magneto could have easily won against the Sentinels by using his mastery over metal to crush them or dismantle their components from a distance, rendering them immobile. Additionally, he could have manipulated the Earth's magnetic field to create powerful electromagnetic pulses to disable their circuits and systems. There’s a lot he could have done. He ( and storm and Bobby, two other omega who could and should have easily won) were badly nerfed so they could have a movie lol

Something that a lot of MCU films miss out on is how goddamned bleak and hopeless this fight is. The odds are stacked so against them, and they fight on, still. That's more engaging than any Iron-man suit army or Super Technologically Advanced city, or space god bringing the heat with his endless army of minions because the MCU is so climate-controlled and regulated that they could never bear to make a movie where it really doesn't seem like the heroes will win. Even Infinity War, their kinda magnum opus, can't really commit to the bit and just reverses everything in a film's length. Ironic, because this film basically does the same thing, but they handle it with so much bravery. Until the credits roll, this movie really felt like the end of the X-Men if things don't go right.

This movie was a peice of art. Some of the best fight scenes EVER. And it should've won the special effects Oscar. Fuck u Oscar snubbing this movie. Tbh it was and still is in my eyes the best men movie 😢🎉😊❤

If Storm tapped into her true power, she could obliterate the Sentinels by unleashing continent-scale lightning storms, tornadoes, and hurricanes that would rip them apart. Her ability to manipulate weather and atmospheric pressure could disable their circuitry and fry their systems. Additionally, she could use extreme temperature changes to cause metal fatigue, rendering their adaptive capabilities useless.
