The amount of games I either win or lose by simply not giving up is how I ranked up so fast. Not botting out will do wonders for learning how to be a better player.

I remember I used to play those fighter plane games where you'd build up all the weapons and then as soon as I get hit and go back to the shitty small gun I'd quit. Maybe it's the same thing here.

In my experience it's the opposite, people chose to kill you first instead of bots, botting out is sadly still a valid strat.

It's not just luck for you though. Because I see at least a dozen or so risk content creators on YT and none of them are anywhere near as entertaining as you. You are GOOD at the game and ENTERTAINING to watch. It mostly has to do with the fact that you are a grown man, and as a grown man, that appeals to me (not sexually lol). You can be serious, silly, angry, intelligent, funny, annoying, etc., but at the same time you maintain your own charismatic persona, and maintain, as importantly, your gameplay. It is actually quite impressive. Other risk creators, seem childish or less focused, maybe even egotistical, but you just aren't. You truly are the BEST risk content creator on the scene. What you have accomplished in 4 years is nothing short of proof of your dedication to your craft. Yeah, there is the small amount of luck involved with the algorithm, but when that breeze blew in, you spread your wings and took off to the skies. And one of these days... I will face you on the battlefield.

Very grateful for the kind words brother. Being yourself is the easiest thing in the world right? I'm sure we will battle! What do you play? Tournaments?

@@FreePete I haven't played a tournament yet, but I do have a YT channel of my own and I'm thinking of cracking into the scene soon. I have about 500 subs on that channel, and they seem interested in Risk content. I'm not even half the player you are, but I'd like to see where I fall in the pecking order.

I am impressed by how confidently incorrect JJbruhh_ was around 11:00 that magenta never saw that capital. :P This was some really unfortunate levels of unlucky. Not even game-wise. But player disconnects/skill was wild.

For large caps games in person. You just do a "wagering" system. The attacker bets multiples of 10 troops per dice, per roll, the defender wagers a ratio of 4/5ths as many, per dice, per roll. So you can know that the cap will ultimately defend powerfully, but you can cull numbers quickly. With a maximum of 10% of your initial army, wagered per roll, to reduce fluke. You could cap roll 1000 troops in 10 rolls that way, while still getting a reasonably accurate troop loss.

Fog could be simulated otb by requiring fortifies and attacks to be written down 1 move ahead of time. Temporally shifting fog from the present, to the prior turn.

@@FreePete I just can’t stand it when someone’s bot gets them a higher placement. Also sucks if an automated bot screws you over more than your opponents (although I guess it evens out because sometimes it’s favorable to you).

It's ridiculous that people can quit and a bot takes over that plays better than the player that quit. You quit....just cause a hot takes your place; you should take last got leaving
@FreePete
@FreePete 9 күн бұрын
Fully agree. Anyone who intentionally quits should always place lowest. The fact that the game hasn't closed this loophole is very surprising
