I know right?! Nate's actually my favorite singer, my favorite band is Skillet and my favorite song is Fall Out Boy's The Phoenix...so believe me when I say that I would flip if Nate were to cover The Phoenix (I like to synchronize some of Nate's covers with the originals and his voice works very well with Patrick Stump's, so I'd just love to hear Nate singing The Phoenix...plus the song gets the blood pumping and Nate always does amazing with those types of songs). Of course I think its amazing how much popularity KZbin singers are getting since Nate sung Limit Break x Survivor, and the Beyblade Burst Turbo theme, and then Jonathon Young ended up singing the Beyblade Burst Rise theme (finally some glory for English anime openings!)

its so amazing how captivating and influential a fictional character can be as you grow up. those black and white concepts like "plus ultra", "go beyond" and "#1" lingered in the back of my head throughout highschool and pushed me beyond in most aspects of life. at my casual time job i was the best there, optimising every possible task and being offered apprenticeships time and time again. but my passion was art. having the mindset of becoming the #1 ive reached some of my half decade long goals and am starting to turn my illustration hobby into something thats soon to be a career. im in animation uni now and can easily say i have more skill and knowledge most of my class. of course there are those above me but with the mindset adopted from the characters like bakugo and deku, im pushing towards surpassing them each day. as cringe as that may sound, its all thanks to horikoshi's characters, story and everybody who worked on the anime to bring such a compelling narrative to life. something to motivate me for all those years, to stay consistent towards a single goal and to avoid stagnation, something all to easy to fall into

Four years ago I saw the original cover in my sub feed, I didn’t really think of the anime much I just knew since it was by Nate it was gonna be awesome, and it was, couple years later I try finally watching MHA, it was fun but I only got through 2 seasons before dropping it, now here we are today, even though I’m not a huge fan of the anime, this song and cover is amazing, and now I kinda want to get back into it.
