One thing I always felt is that, though Whitney's version was extremely impressive and I loved her voice, she never managed to replicate the emotion of Dolly Parton's original. Erik , in my opinion, successfully combined Dolly's emotion with the power of Whitney's cover. Brilliant!

Eric’s vocals are truly incredible - almost as astonishing as his life journey. Listening to the sensitivity and power of his voice, would you guess he’s battled cancer? He’s also an original creator. An all together great artist. The real deal.

Erik Grönvall has a wonderful voice, and alot of heart in his songs. He has been singing with Tommy, a Sabaton song. I don't know if you have heard that song, but if not it's an amazing mix with Erik and Tommy, and their voices works great together. ❤🎉❤

ABBAMAN.. I got emotional listen to the song as well but we have to remember who wrote this it was Dolly Parton the story is she started singing on TV show with Porter Wagoner after a few years she decided to go her own way and wrote the song in tribute to him so it's a very personal song. The lyrics get me every time of course we can't forget Whitney's more powerful version. I had never heard a man who's singing this before and he did a wonderful job I wonder if Dolly's ever heard this?? 😊

Controversial call but, I hated Whitney's version. It serverly lacked the emotion of the original when Dolly sang it. You felt Dolly singing it and it took you on a journey. To me, Whitney was just singing a pop song which she didn't undertsand the lyrics. Erik on the other hand understood the lyrics and nailed it. It was powerful, it was emotove and it was insane. If you want to take it up a notch, check out Erik doing House Of The Rising Sun, That is off the charts EPIC.

hahah därför att det är lättare när man väl är inne i flytet på engelskan. Samt att vissa namn kan vara mycket svåra för engelsktalande att höra om man säger dem på Svenska, i synnerhet om de får höra det från en Skåning med dialekt som mig. Därav blir det oftast enklare. =)
