I dab some white mineral based sunscreen on my Aldara treated skin, it dries covering it up with a white hue, sun protection and less of a open wound look. Also I might of passed on the second biopsy, and just do a repeat short term Aldara treatment a few months later to check on a need for more treatment.

@@GivesAMinutealso, a BCC has tentacles like an octopus which is why your treatment exposed a larger area. I had one on my upper chest and they did the punch biopsy then started treatment and it looked horrible. ultimately I have a round spot where the biopsy was done and a very faint white line in the shape of a half heart where a tentacle was. I would do aldara again simply because IF you must have MOHs surgery, they keep cutting in a circular pattern and examining under a microscope until they don’t see cancer cells. I couldn’t imagine a circular pattern as long as the tentacle. The aldara goes straight to the bad cells and clear up into a faint white scar. Please use sunscreen but also get anything examined that looks suspish. Catching it early is better than it spreading. So glad you are well and healed 😊

I've been using Aldara to treat BCC for close to 10 years. Your treatment pathway, biopsy, treatment, biopsy, wasn't standard. I've treated one that required a biopsy after treatment to confirm it was gone but most have just required the Aldara. Infact the Aldara treatment has meant that no surgery was required on several occasions. It has been that effective. So it's a case by case situation. I do agree though the side effects whilst under treatment aren't pleasant, the lethargy in particular. I've noticedthe side effects are worse if the BCC is large and on the head or neck. Otherwise I think it's a fantastic way to treat BCC. Can be done at home, no surgery, no scarring (the redness fades) and it relies completely on your immune system. No toxic drugs. You can also use it as a diagnostic tool. If you are suspicios about a spot put a bit of Aldara on it. It won't react with healthy skin. If it's a BCC it will redden straight away. The Aldara (Imiquimod) "removes the BCC's disguise" so that your immune sytem can recognise for what it is, an invader. It's brilliant.

Thanks for this. Really helpful. I am presently in week 5 of 6 using this stuff on my forearm. Second time I have used it and I look like I have leprosy. Last time was on my ear and that looked like it had been chewed by a dog. Completely agree about how it makes you feel. I feel nauseous and lethargic a lot of the time and can't wait to stop using it so I can feel normal again. I am in the UK and do not think I will be asked to have a biopsy after. I have had 2 BCCs cut out, one on neck and one on my forehead and I think given the choice I would go for the Aldara, but it's a close run thing. Never been given the choice though, for some the docs said Aldara, for others it's the knife. Overall conclusion is avoid getting BCCs by using sunscreen and wearing hats and shirts when you can. I am a fair skinned Aussie who played a lot of sport in my youth and that's when I think the damage was done. Good thing I moved to the UK in my 20s - I shudder to think what state I'd be in now if I'd continued to be exposed to the Aussie sun. Thanks for your channel. Take care.

You have yours on your forearm, I feel that would be a pretty "easy" place (not taking anything away from your pain of course), but for me me, the cream on my face... never again!! The issue you had with the local anaesthetic sounds more like needle phobia rather than an allergic reaction to the actual injection itself

@@GivesAMinute ah okay I see! I have the needle phobia thing, it's bloody annoying! I have to warn whoever is given me an injection that my blood pressure is likely to drop through the floor for a few minutes, but it always comes back up. Last time I had a blood sample taken it went from 135 / 85 to 90 / 60 in about 10 seconds. Scared the nurse half to death cos she thought she'd killed me :D

Just glad it worked out for you mate. The big C and luckily it wasn’t more serious. Who knew stuff like that could be so effective! So glad to have found this channel! Week 2 of aldara on my lower lip and it is painful, swollen, spreading and Ugly! I was about to call my dermo as I was sure I was having a bad reaction to it- but apparently this is it working😱. Devil cream. At least masks are still being worn somewhat. I'm currently using Aldara. No biopsy was taken beforehand just the experienced eye of the consultant. I experienced very little redness and no side effects. The lesion seems to be healing.

Thanks for this video. I have had BCC on my nose and had Mohs surgery and reconstructive surgery to the area twice. Now I have another area on my nose and doc wants me to try this cream. 2nd chemotherapy cream she has prescribed Praying it does what it is supposed to! Good luck and it looks like you have now healed 😊

When I did surgery for a small BCC like yours. Now I have a scar of surgery long 3 inches. I have a other spots that I left too long and it is under my hair so I don't want my hair gone here and there. So, I guess I can use this cream which I just got from my doctor.

Thank you for showing me that Aldara does basically the same as a good 'black salve'. I have used a salve before and having seen your video I am going to try the salve again in preference. I think there is more ... 'plant intelligence' ... in the salve, and it seems to do a cleaner job that leaves less aftermath than yours. I know many will disagree. Just sharing an honest opinion.

I can confirm that there is no verification / biopsy after getting BCC cut out. I've had multiple removed from my face with Mohs surgery. Unfortunately one of them has now returned after being treated twice (Photodynamic Therapy and Mohs), and this time I'm giving Aldara a go. I'm 2 weeks in and it looks horrible!

Mohs involves the dermatologist looking at each section he’s cutting out under a microscope during the procedure to see how many layers need to be shaved off until he gets down to healthy cells. That’s why no biopsy is needed afterwards. The mohs procedure confirms you’re all clear and there are no cancer cells left by the end of the procedure.

Question; why do biopsy? Ans $$$. In any case you can regularly use Fudrex ogr Aldara as a profilactic so biopsy is just unecessary.

I was also curing cancer with live cannabis oil. Far as the biopsy your skin looks great. Just discolored cuz you got new skin that will fade with castor oil. Keeping the skin healthy. Even if it came back you can just hit it again with the aldera cream. I had one come back when I was using cannabis only oils but I treated it again and it never came back. They don't move that fast unless yours was very aggressive. But I was amazed at your first result. I'm glad I found something. Their cannabis oil did the same thing. It inflamed the spot but nothing like this stuff. Take care man. This aldera cream finds stuff you do not no you have. I do it in sections on my face. Kind of painful even. But I know what is doing and it's worth the pain

I first had a biopsy on my nose which lead to Aldara and my first experience that meant not having an excision and skin graft. Since then its been an ear and then multiple scalp lesions. Never had any biopsies since the first. Agree its unpleasant.

@@GivesAMinute I should have mentioned my ear lesion indicated a wedge out my ear but avoided that. Two weeks into a scalp treatment which looks and feels bad. Will pause for a month and then try again to see if wasn't enough.

It’s way better choice than Mohs surgery. I had it on my chest and have a huge scar. I’ve used Curaderm for over 12 weeks and it is not a good experience either. Aldara seems like a faster option at least. Esteya is a radiation option especially for on your face. It’s also known as EBX or Brachytherapy, takes 8-10 short treatments over 2-3 weeks. Wish I would have known about this option much sooner

The nice thing about Mohs is you know for certain that they got all the cancer as they analyze each layer until clear. But yes, I also have scars from Mohs.

It does not weaken your immune system! I have actinic keratosis horribly because of sun damage over my entire life.. This stuff knocks them out fast add heels within 10 days. To each of their own but I love it!

Could it be that precancerous cells such as actinic keratoses do not require concentrated treatment like actual cancer, so the effects are milder?

That is a great review. I have to agree. I am just starting and it's on my shoulder. I am thinking now I would have been better off to just have it cut out and be done with it.

@@GivesAMinute I have had mhos surgery before with skin graph. This was my experience. On a spot that is about 2mm they have to cut out a spot about the size of a dime or nickel. They just keep cutting until they get it all. The cream is only supposed to attack cells that are abnormal so the big red spot on your head probably would have been graphed. The cream seemed to work fine.. I don't know why the doctor would do the second biopsy and leave a scar.. At that point I would have just used caster oil rejuvenat the skin. Long use on your arms will remove age spots and they will fade slowly away,, I am using aldera cream. Seems to work.. I have used live cannabis oil. Kind of works the same way. But takes weeks with a bandage with live THC cannabis oil. Thanks for sharing your experience... I don't know why the doctor did the second biopsy even if the cancer came back you would know what it was and just treat it the same way again.. But this time you would use other things to Nourish the skin and diet. I know people that had cancer and their body removed and the doctors used chemo and it came back and they died..

Hey mate, thank you for the video. Just finished 6 week aldra cycle for bcc... My face looks like hell. Like someone put a cigar out on my face right below the eye. I think I probably would've had it cut out in hindsight, but here I am... I am wondering if you've seen your skin depigment (go back from the pinkish color we see in this video and return to its natural flesh color) ? Anyway you could provide us another update of how you're healing? Greatly appreciate your videos on this! Cheers

I was just surprised that you took photos of your war zone outside. Even though instructions for the drug mention that you should be careful about the sun while using this cream.

@@GivesAMinute my dermatologist told me to wear sunscreen, highest factor, whenever l go outside and to wear a hat. I've used aldara off and on for more than 16 years. Using it at the moment on an ear and forehead. Much better than freezing. I've never had a biopsy. Never felt the least bit sick or off colour using the product. 75 yr old South African who spent her youth on the beach.

@@GivesAMinute That's good to hear, cause I have. Being born with Eczema must have aggravated using the cream more. But I've a white scar there, I've tried a lot since then. Essential oils, went to a herbalist adding Helichrysum and Calendula, asked another guy who suggested Serrapeptase and Nattokinase. Wished I never used the stuff. Especially with how few PPP I have
