Stored away in 1986 this forgotten about Early Ford Bronco is coming back to life. I installed a new fuel system, rear bench seat, windshield latch, and changed the fluids trying to get this old truck ready for the road.

I always liked the look of the latch hoop on the hood. You got me wanting to add the latches even though I’m sure I’ll never fold it down lol.

Yeah I probably won't use it much but I like the idea of being able to go rogue and do it if I want haha

dude good job keeping that old girl running, im jealous iv owned my 69 bronco for 3 years now and havnt driven her, just thousands of hours of work into it but she'll be on the road real soon. I just bought the same windshield latch system, upon opening the hood it appears I have 2 little dimples on the inner hood crossmember, did you maybe not have those and that's why you taped and marked the top ? just curious as im about to install mine soon. keep up the bronco videos lovin it !

Hey Jake! It definitely takes a lot of time to do it right. I just really want to drive mine while I still have some free time left before I start working full time so I'm pushing hard on it. I didn't see any indication of dimples on my hood or on the cross member but I think the hood is from a 70's donor bronco which is after they stopped the fold down windshield?

My 66 had the same mirror mounting but the previous owner had a boat he put on a rack on top. He moved the mirrors forward on the fenders about a foot so he could see better I guess. The mirrors were also rectangular instead of round, so he either swapped them out or they were real rare OEM, not sure. I know you're just getting it going but you need to know that Fram is probably the most bottom tier filter made! Also depending on your budget, do a disk brake conversion on the front or if at all possible do the 4 wheel brake conversion, drums are dangerous, ask me how I know! The original wipers were vacuum, so the position was more centered over the passenger and driver, when they switched to the electric wipers they had to accommodate for the wiper system and eliminated the catch. You're doing great, can't wait to see more, thanks for sharing!

Yeah I know the single round mirror on the driver side is how it came from the factory and they’re pretty rare since most people probably added a passenger then changed out the original to match. My mechanic is working on the brakes rn but disc brakes are a good idea for sure. Yeah I'm definitely gonna have some wiper issues so I probably will hold out on those for awhile since I don't plan on driving it in the rain. Should have a big update video coming in the next couple weeks. Thanks for watching!
