I been using it a while and has great results, the first line use as main direction at LFT and HFT , the second line act as a S and R when break from first line, the third line act as a major hold , when break at third line expect a huge move. if the first line cross over to second line or to the third line expect a huge move of the price. J lines dont consider volume which is a concern. you would have to look at PRICE + VOLUME to determine if it is a good entry signal. It is false that J lines work better than VWAP. How could J lines work better when volume is not taken into account. All J lines is doing is modelling price action without volume.

Hey J, the Jline spacing premarket seems correlate well with whether a stock is going to pump or dump. Do you use it in that sense to take a trade right off open or do you wait for a break and retest of the first 30 , 60?

@@tradingideas375 for short you can use jlines as targets while for long you look to trail with them and the more extended the better as you sell into rips. Also when they are intertwined no trading. Yes 89 must be divided by 5 for 5m but 15 and hourly chart remain the same as 1m chart

As now of backtesting with phenomenal results on its own on the one min! Fantastic job bro !

For example take the 5m chart. Then divide all the JLines of the 1’ so 72,89,216etc by 5 and you have jlines on 5’. This is the same for the 3 m so divide by 3.

Looks like you always take entries based on “jline 1”, so what is the purpose of Jlines 3 and 5? Looks like it also breaks above/below quite frequently so you’re kind of glossing over the trades where you’d get stopped out on many of these moves. Does this also work on hourly or daily timeframes for swings? And how do you manage or decide the exit on these entries?

@@bfourney it works also for swing. The jlines 1 is the main entry pattern with confluence and pattern and volume. Then 3’ is for afternoon longs. 5’ is for dips or pops and gives you supply and demand.

Guppy style was exactly this : long band , med band , short band emas clustered together but not as close as a MA ribbon. The only difference is your Fib settings which are your own preference. Are you using the Williams Alligator indicator lokls identical? Seocnd question the only issue is everything looks clear in hindsight. You can see where price bounced or failed after the fact but during market hours on the hard right edge of the chart you do not know and its not obvious which levels are valid entries and which are not or will fail

Very interesting. The ema's (J Lines) combined with the good en smart use of support and resistance (resistance becoming support and then buy at the retest) looks very powerfull. Ema's are powerfull in trading and so are support and resistance.

The entry is probably the least important part of a strategy. People focus way too much on entry with way too many indicators. The entry is only really wrong if you are wrong on the trend. The exit, long term trend, and position sizing are all more important than the entry. You could have the best entry ever and still screw up the trade. You could also have a crap entry and still make tons of money. In real life, a win rate of less than 50% is pretty normal. That’s why position sizing and how you exit are so important.

Thanks for this. Yes it's a simple multiple EMA strategy (which I understand is part of something bigger) but even as it stands this has been great for me so far. Today I was 4 for 4 and stopped trading before the news. Once it had settled and the lines had sorted themselves out I made 2 more winners for a 6/6 100% day. Yesterday 1 win and then the market turned so I closed 1 for a small hit and waited a couple of hours. The EMAs all lined up and I booked 4 wins before the EMAs started to tighten so I left it alone. During the European afternoon I took 3 more trades when the lines got going again. 13 out of 14 works for me. Naysayers looking for someone to give them the keys to the vault. Do some work FFS! I have one question, what do you do about the times where price passes through the jlines as a new trending move or bounces just a bit lower then passes through? Basically how do you tell the difference between a pullback and a new trending move? Do you just take the loss at the jline when its new trending move or the market pulls back deeper or is there a way to more certainly confirm that the move to the jline is a pullback?

Volume and setup. So when you see a dip into jlines wait always a setup like cup with volume to enter or avoid. Jlines are a part of the strategy that give you timing of entry if you align all together.

JLines might be a million dollar indicator, but VWAP is the billion dollar indicator, no debating that. Institutions aren't using your system... Also, you're using weird lengths that are not equally divisible. I'm assuming you round to nearest whole value.
