Exactly. Mental health and motivation are ultimately the result of our actions and decisions, we can't just wait for "the right moment" with motivation (e.g. to lose weight) because it will never happen. Boogie however, keeps deluding himself into thinking that as long as he comforts himself and labels all criticism that makes him uncomfortable as "haters/trolls" and this behavior results in him basically engaging in a massive downward spiral in physical and mental health. In life pain is what makes us happy, since we need some pain to learn and succeed. Running away from all pain and discomfort results in a Boogie.

I'm not overweight but as someone who once was, I can understand him there. Some people smoke, some people drink alcohol every second day, some people seek highs by doing whacky shit (like the Russian roof jumpers we surely all know). In the end, there's a lot of unhealthy coping mechanisms that a lot of people tolerate and accept, overeating is one of them.The point is to fix the core issue eventually, though. I first thought that the reason I was unhappy with way I looked was because I was a little overweight, so I started training. I lost some weight so it helped tremendously but I still wasn’t quite happy with the way I looked. So I really like the light you shine on the importance of how physical health can affect your mental health and, of course, being who you really are! Thank you. Love your vids. food is such an insidious addiction man. like i’ve kinda dealt with some addiction issues (comfortable speaking about this since it’s anonymous) and looking back, the first thing i abused was food. eventually you move on to other stuff, notwithstanding the abuse of food too. but at the end of the day, you have to take responsibility for you actions and WORK HARD. it’s hard fucking work and it has to be done and passing the buck like boogie does will never get you progress. great video as usual.

I've often thought this when dealing with my personal addictions with drugs and alcohol. It all began during my childhood with food but anyways, good points. I used to respect boogie but all I see him now is as an excuse making machine. The man never mans up

@Preacher Gannondorf Your body releases dopamine when you eat food, specifically sugar. Do you really think people that are super obese have no problematic relationship with food whatsoever? You don't feel like a god when you smoke cigarettes either, its very common to be addicted to cigarettes. Nice oversimplification though.
