I’ve been watching Maya since High School. My mum moved to another country and I was left to figure out what to do with my hair. I lived with my single father and little sister who both had straight “manageable” hair. Nobody around me knew how to deal with my curly hair so I often threw it up in a bun. But I was getting headaches from how matte my hair would get and I wanted to know how to actually take care of my hair. I stumbled across Maya’s KZbin videos and was overjoyed that I found someone who had hair like me! Then I subscribed and became a loyal follower. Here I am years later having graduated University now and still watching Maya’s shameless life! Along the way, I became familiar with the faces surrounding Maya, especially Jackie. This video had me in tears. It’s weird that even though I haven’t met Maya nor her loved ones, I have grown an attachment to them. I feel for Maya having lost a part of her life but ultimately doing the best by Jackie and Saga. I pray that Jackie and her family and Saga with her family live joyous lives. A story of hope and positivity-my sister’s dog didn’t like kids and bit my nephew and a daycare kid. Toddlers do not know that growling and such means no. We took her dog in and although she was shaking for days, once she got comfortable she thrived. She has been with us 4 years and is 15 now. She is so much happier and much much lower anxiety in our home. You’ve made the right decision.

I had to do that and I gave my dog to my sister. Every holiday we have dinner and we play like nothing never happened. When I periodically swing by my sister's house, Bobby jumps up and licks my face like I know who my momma is 😊😊 Girllll that hair cut tho❤️❤️❤️❤️

Dearest Maya, I literally had a dream (2nd one) about having to give my kitty away that I’ve only had for 18 months and I woke-up in a panic because it felt so real. I called her and was so happy to see her head peek through the curtains. That feeling BROKE MY HEART…so, I pray for your own comfort and grace to eventually be at peace. the same thing happened to me. a small child and a small dog that were not compatible. although I tried everything I thought was better, although the child did not hurt the animal, the dog became depressed because it could not stand the presence of the child. my mother-in-law adopted him and suddenly the dog seemed to come back to life.

😢😢😢 We had to give away our cat a year after our daughter was born. He was seating at her, bit her, always in her crib but not in a sweet way. He had to go…became an outdoor/indoor cat and loved his new life. You made the best decision!

She is moving away next year and I seriously dont think, I'm going to let him go!!!!! We've talked about it and she agrees he would be better off here with us. I’m having a baby now and had to make that decision a few weeks ago to rehome my Cane Corso with a very loving family. He was only 1 and I struggled big time so sending you lots of love. But I too had gotten to a point where he deserved way more than I could give him 😢

I had to do the same thing. My dog Archie didn’t like my husband and when I had my baby, he was not having it. I had him for 6 years then I had to give him up. I found him a great home with another dog as a companion. He’s very happy. It will be ok. Hang in there. Each chapter has its moments.

I gave my dog away almost 4 years ago. I wasn’t able to give him the best life all on my own and I had to face that music. So it was hard for me. And it was hard for me to let him go because he really was my pal. But I totally accepted it and have since moved on. It’s a part of life. Saga is so cute, what would be really sad is if you had to give her away. Imagine that right. But anyway, safety and peace of mind is really important.

It took some time before I could watch this video, cause I know how I am with animals, plus I’m an empath. I love animals so much, all kinds and I lost my 14yr old dog this year, they are family and losing them either to passing or having to re home then when you truly never wished to is tough. I cried like a baby, girl. I know the feeling. You were an excellent fur mommy just like you are an excellent mommy. Thank you for always being so vulnerable with us. Ugh. So hear wrenching. I cried the whole time watching this. I just reminds me of when I had to give away my cats because my now husband found out he was allergic (although I’m allergic too) and he gave away his cat and I had to give away my 2 cats. I cried and cried and ended up keeping one cat because I couldn’t find a home for her and I refused to put her in a shelter. I still think about my cat that I gave away (to my husbands uncle) and it’s still hard and it’s been 4 years. They are your family and you take care of them and they are there for you. It’s hard.

I have a shih tzu that doesn’t like ppl or kids 🫣. When he came into our home at 12 weeks my daughter was 2 and he definitely had a lot of training to do. Over time he started to resource guard a lot, he would growl at my husband for trying to enter “HIS BEDROOM” and occasionally nipped my daughter. I love very hard and couldn’t ever imagine getting rid of him and his grumpy self. So we started the training and realized he has a lot of anxiety. But a year down the road now he has came such a long way and stop his bad habits.

I can't imagine this, I've had several dogs an they only lived to be 13 yrs old. At this point in Jackie life she at the end of it. I couldn't get rid of a dog I had it's whole life. I just be keeping them lil separated cus Jacky don't have to much life left.. this is very hard to even watch. I can't imagine the struggle I will never believe dogs don't know what's going on an don't have feelings. Dogs don't live forever an that's hurts I still mourn my two dogs that pasted away at 13 years old.
