But for me I say the marriage that has worked is the right marriage. Is it scriptural to work for a boss younger than someone? A master literally should be older than a servant. Sometimes we tend to complicate matters for ourselves and leave the major while focusing on the minor when it comes to marriage but don’t see it as an issue in other areas of life. The qualifications for marriage according to Ephesians is Submission from the part of the woman and Love from the part of the man.

However the standard of respect we have in our everyday lives is what we carry into our relationships especially marriage. if you are the kind of woman that doesn't respect men younger than you by as little as 2 years you probably have a general problem with respect towards men. People who are two years apart have so much in common for both men and women, you are in the same generation and grew up on the same things. You would have definitely had more interactions with people 2 years younger than you than with people 6 years older in your lives journey and if from those numerous interactions you couldn't develop respect for young people that's a character flaw imo. So the conversation of how do I respect my husband that is 2 years younger than me is soo unnecessary because 2 years is too little of a gap for there to be any significant differences between men his age and men your age. There is no conversation to be had accord him the same level of respect you would give a man your age. Just my opinion!!!

Hi, Yes they are both aware. Thankfully, we have believing parents so it wasn't hard convincing them. but that was not the first issue we raise when they got to know us. They got to know our person first, fall in love with other areas, so it wasn't a big deal when the age issue popped up.
