Since the plunderers have menace, I think you had lethal at 12:40 if you have archangel of wrath kill the 2/2 with one kick and go face with the other- 2 extra face damage and leaving them with an additional artifact would've killed them. Not that it mattered, but this deck has interesting combat maths sometimes.

I'm a little surprised not to see the 4 mana investigator that makes the opponent discard for clues. Seems like a sweet card alongside the purveyor to punish the opponent for using blood tokens.

Surprisingly good Decklist gave the impression of being somewhat janky but as it turns out, even when the Kambal token theme doesn’t appear, mardu removal + beatdown lines up reasonably well against a lot of creature decks

I also really like kambal in the alchemy dedicated dollmaker deck. If they ever have anything really good, you can target it with dollmaker and get a copy of your own, then clone it with oltec matterweaver

If you want some slightly more accessible replacements, I tried with 2 Slaughter Artists and 2 Tribute to Horobi instead of the Plunderer, and it seems to work ok, at least as a stopgap to not use mythic wildcards

I think Get Lost would be a better two mana removal over Go for the throat. Just works well at removing more things and makes tokens which you can use.

4th opponent gameplay was painful If he kept the lands in hand not only would have been able to use bloods to dig for spells but also would have enabled descend to gain back the skeleton enchantment (and save some damage from the Plunderer)

I swapped the GftT for Get Lost, more synergistic with the Plunderers, imo... who are also nice with a couple Magdas, with all the crimes being committed everywhere :) Cut some Purveyors to make room for the 2 Magdas

It's an interesting suggestion! While it has great synergy with Kambal, I fear that it has too much of a drawback when facing aggro decks, where you can't afford to give them another threat.

The curve is a little awkward even if we draw it with Kambal, since we can't play it on turn two yet. It's not the most individually powerful card, so while there is some synergy I didn't include it.

Don’t know if it came up after the first match, but with Kambal out an opponent’s Monstrous Rage should trigger Kambal’s ability and create a monster role token (I guess you get to attach it to one of your creatures?)

Lord Skitter is good at that too later in the game, Plunderer requires us to wait until our next upkeep. A cheap card like Relic of Progenitus would be perfect, but that one isn't in Standard.

As a player of a version of this deck, I'd like to start by saying thanks for giving me some great ideas on how to lose to to the Esper Midrange deck, that dominates standard, more efficiently. What's the point in showcasing any deck against any other deck if there is one deck that can rule them all? Show me how these decks perform against the Raffine Esper Midrange deck and then I'll be impressed, or likely not. Not hating, your videos are great and I love you insights, but until I actually see you go up against a real deck, this is all just fluff.

Your cynicism is appreciated, but you might be getting things confused with traditional Standard. Esper sees very little play in the Best of One standard meta, sitting at around only 2,5% metagame share. Monored Aggro and Boros Convoke are the most played decks here, with roughly 30% metagame share combined and a much higher winrate than Esper.
