This is THE cut I have always wanted and could never describe to a hairdresser.

My hair. Well my life is happier when I have cut like this and roller SET each week! I adore this kind of style.

This is a lifesaver! I'm gonna try this. Everytime i go to a hairdresser and ask for a look, they make the complete opposite of what i asked for and i have to pay 100 euros anyway. Thanks for this, liked and subscribed. Love your other vids too.

That's exactly how I always cut my own hair, only last couple years I stoped cutting my bangs too short. But now I know why my hair always looks so much better curled 😆 cause I have a vintage haircut without even realizing

So pretty!!! I'm 19, and I'm new to cutting my own hair (I've only done it twice), but I'm going to try a midi on myself...maybe tonight🤭 you did a great job!😍

This was so brave. I don't think I would be able to do that on my own but it did give me very good insight into what a vintage haircut entails. Thank you💕

Girl let me tell you...this vid (while I’ve watched it before) just came in SO handy you have no idea. In San Francisco, where I live, our salons have been closed since March and literally I was starting to look like Sasquatch. I just got an email from my salon with the sad news that my amazing hairstylist has retired from hairdressing and has decided to focus on her equally amazing sewing...after hearing this news I had a melt down and then pulled this video up and proceeded to cut my own hair. I’m about to blow dry it but it looks good so far. Thank you SO much B - you’re a lifesaver always but during COVID times you’re a fucking life jacket girl!

You are so gorgeous! I was honestly cringing hard throughout the video but you did a great job! Honestly it couldn't have gone THAT wrong because..well..you are so pretty , so there's always that! Congrats on the new place!

This was very interesting and turned out well. I’ve cut my hair myself for the last few years but this month I’ve been seriously trying to work out how to make it more like an authentic long middy (looking at old diagrams, trying to make sense of Fedora Lounge posts). My provisional plan is quite different from your technique though, so I hope I’m not wrong 😨 Like you I’m thinking if I go for a longer than ‘long middy’ (likely) the worst that will happen is I have to find a hairdresser to cut it into a middy. I’m not well enough to do anything extra this month but in March I might give it a go and film my alternative technique and see how it turns out.

Not sure I'm that brave, but it was fun to watch you do it. Maybe after I've had several proper vintage haircuts done by a professional and am more used to what I like style-wise.
@TheRaeraeraerae6 жыл бұрын
THERE IS AN EASIER (and less risky) WAY!!! I hate going to the hairdressers, it's just never quite what I want when they've finished. Have a look at the tutorials on KZbin where you put your hair in a ponytail at the front of your head and cut it. It's virtually foolproof and depending on where you place the ponytail you can achieve a deeper or shallower U shape. You then feather into the ponytail and it creates perfect layers. Yours looks great but I am not sure I could do my own as well as you!
@MissBeeTownsend6 жыл бұрын
My hair isn't long enough to do that. The ends don't fit into the ponytail so they don't end up being cut evenly into it. It doesn't work for a middy cut xx
@lindsaywright64875 жыл бұрын
nope you are over extending your hair. don't ever EVER do this.

I know you posted this a while ago, but do you mind giving me some advice? (my hair desperately needed cutting and now we're going into lockdown again 😂) I noticed you parted your hair in the middle, do you part in the middle no matter what parting you usually have? For example I've got a side parting. Thanks! X

Hello! I have been watching your videos for a while, you have an amazing style. I have a question, since you live in the U.K., would you recommend me a good setting spray and a good pomade(something I can easily get at superdrug and boots)?
@MissBeeTownsend7 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks for commenting :) I'm pretty new here so I'm not really all over the best UK products, and I only use vegan products, so most of the stuff at Boots and Superdrug hair-wise is out. But I know Paul Mitchell products are available here and I've used them in the past and found them to be good.

Too chunky in front. You should have angled the sheers inward while cutting to make it smoother for your fine hair.

Why am I watching this?I have curly hair and I have no chance to brush my hair and separate to layers) little advice, music is kind of disturbing I would rather listen to you pretty english accent than this modern music with little sense of 1930. I recommend instead nice violin salon music for example Jasha Heifetz, Vasa Prihoda or jazz
