Luckily, for Mum, little boys and horses are washable. The joy they both show in being outside to enjoy freedom is worth a little extra soap and water now and again. (Of course, the washing machine might not be quite as happy...🙄 Lol!) The oak table is genius! Well done Mummy Moon and Nick!

Cantho looked like he was dancing! So gorgeous. That bird table is brilliant. Job's a good'n. And yes, the Moon's DO give nature a home. The amount of earth that ends up on Rupert and his brothers at the end of every busy, happy day tending to all the beautiful animals (and just plain playing and being kids!) means that nature _literally_ comes into the Moon house anytime a Moon brother does! 😂I can't imagine the amount of laundry that needs doing in an average week, let alone during the rainy winter in France. The washing machine must be running non stop. Mummy Moon is a wonder woman.

I just love seeing Rupert being just a very inquisitive young man. It just makes my heart sing to see normal! I was so excited to see him interact with the turkeys and I fashioned myself an image of him training them to follow him around as they talked to each other in turkey speak and Rupert becoming a turkey shepherd. THEN as I see his metal detector appear out from under the tree…I thought, oh no but the Moons are going to have a property full of dibbets and a collection of treasures of all shapes and sizes BUT now we see yet another side to Rupert in his birdwatching AND that I can really relate to! I feed the birds here on our little plot on the river from November 1st thru April. Then out come the oriole and hummingbird feeders and the seed and suet are retired for the Summer. I just can’t wait to see what Rupert attracts to his smorgasbord of bird seeds hoping he will share a picture or two with us. I don’t see as much of the others so I haven’t really connected with them but Rupert…absolutely!!!:):):)

You could also make the leftover stump into another bird table/natural watering hole by either using an adze, axe, or chainsaw to hollow out the center of the stump. It would sort of be like what happens in nature whenever a tree or rock forms a depression and collects water. As for the bird feed, a lovely added touch for Ru would be to get him to grow the seed next summer for feeding out over the following colder months. A fabulous way to teach kids about the circularity of life and where food comes from and from the little I've seen, something that would dovetail nicely with how Daddy and Mummy Moon are raising the mini monsters...😜🤪😅

What a beautiful table for the birds! You need to have a tree stump step put there for Rupert to climb up on so he can reach the table by himself! Or perhaps a bench set back at distance so he can watch for birds.
