Jake you can use a zinc or marine grease thin coat on pins of calipers which should allow penetration of zinc into the metal pins. Otherwise this was a fine job man. As for R6 calipers. Steel braided lines would have been enough for Tokicos and a better master cylinder lever.

An electronic rectifier takes the AC power from the generator & through a bridge rectifier changes the AC power & changes it to pulsed DC power. Then through different combinations of capacitors & resistors recgulates a specific DC voltage to give the bike the voltage power that it requires to run all of the other electronics, since they all require a specific DC Voltage to run properly. I learned this from DeVry to become an Electronics Technician. I have worked in electronics for 40 years. Most equipment I work on has one built in to convert AC power from your wall outlet to create the DC power that most all electronics use.

the Vacuum brake bleeder... here's a tip. I do this almost daily, because, well I'm paid to do it. If you have the line going straight up off the nipple, (and then go back down to the receptacle) in that first part, any air can only go up, and fluid can only go down (back to the calliper) so you know for sure you have all the air out when you get a solid line of fluid, there's no air getting back in because it goes straight Up hill. I did this first on a very stubborn car when there was nobody free to help by pumping the pedal while I worked the vacuum (like I said this was a stubborn car) and this simple trick of having the line going uphill before going down to the receptacle makes the job much easier and faster. but I'm still not going to share it with the old guy at work who thinks he knows better and takes twice as long and has to do it again over and over again until he either runs out of fluid or actually gets the result he is looking for.

the regulater rectifier regulates the voltage and converts ac to dc voltage now love me lmao
@RyanWithAviators2 ай бұрын
Regulator rectifier uses a bunch of diodes to make the sine wave voltage that the stator creates and makes it into a DC voltage that the bike can use for stuff. It also regulates it to less than about 15 volts.

a rotating magnetic field generates an AC voltage. a _rectifier_ converts it into a DC voltage. and then the _regulator_ does exactly what it sounds like... regulates that voltage to keep it at the level needed on the bike.

Vaseline in the filter doesn't stop it from a dry start 😂 always put oil!!
@3GingerCatsАй бұрын
you gotta put oil on there... no you don't, there already a shit ton of oil on the surface you're sealing against and it's going to spread itself all over the rubber anyway. because clinginess and rotation... (unless the area was so grubby that it needed cleaning, but a finger smear is all it needs) you do it to get the torque right, not to make it seal, the only time a filter will refuse to seal is if the thread is out of alignment with the rubber seal (and yes I have seen that, and it's easy to spot while you are winding it on) and secondly, to all the people who claim you must fill the filter with oil... when it is on its side, or upside down like most NEW vehicles, you simply can't do that. and it doesn't hurt the engine on those upside down filter engines! and they use similar pumps pickups and bearings... just start and let idle until you hear the sound change to normal, then switch off and check the level after a couple of minutes (so the oil has time to drain back into the sump)
