I thought that's what made 1987 Fenton so relatable. He lived on the bottom rungs of society. He lived in a trailer park with his momma and the dialogue between them breaks my heart. 1987 Fenton comes home wanting to celebrate his new job. He brought home a frosted cake and he was so excited about finally moving up in the world after he begged Scrooge McDuck. Granted, Fenton knew nothing about accounting and he although he wasn't qualified for the position Scrooge hired him after how fast he could count. Aside from learning accounting on the job from a banana bran brochure... Gyro gave him that chance to do what he always dreamt of doing. And you know I thought that's how everyone feels from time to time. Fenton - But I got a new job! Mama Fenton - Oh, blathering blatherskite. What's wrong with a good job like bean counting? Fenton - It doesn't count! I wanna be something more important than that! I want more out of life MORE, MORE, MORE! Mama Fenton - More? You have everything you could want right here in this trailer. Fenton - It may be enough for you but it isn't enough for me! Haven't you ever wanted something really badly, momma? Scrooge opened that door Fenton was always waiting for.

I definitely agree with both of you on that statement! Like we need more Hispanic representation and I really enjoy how amazing well they were able to translate that through Fenton/Gizmoduck’s character! I really appreciated too that they made him a Spanish Super Hero because we don’t really even have characters like that from other superhero shows/movies, he was certainly the icing on top of this delicious Ducktales Reboot! 😆😄
