I really liked this laptop but it does not seem much of an upgrade from my 5i pro from 2022 (12700H and 3070ti). Maybe I wait another generation to buy this one. I'd like to see an AMD variant for better battery life though.

Rog Zephyrus g14 2024 or g16 is better tbh, pretty small and good performance stats on games, only problem is that I heard it has fan noises when gaming so if you're playing in class, you could potentially annoy someone with the fan noise.

Depends on what you use your laptop for. Just gaming? Get the cheaper CPU. But for video editing, multi tasking, etc. the bigger cpu will have some benefit

@@Smart_boy2001 No it's a 16 incher. 16 can still get max performance though and I don't see a need for 18 - just get an external monitor if you want a bigger screen so you don't have to carry around something that big.

If youre focused more on gaming then Legion 5i pro, it will be cooler to touch and give slightly better gaming performance

Performance will be the same but go for the cheaper one. Legion Pro 7i is hotter on the keyboard deck like JT11111 said. The only reason to get the Pro 7i is if you want a 4080 or 4090.

@@JT11111 I've owned a Pro 5i 2023 and now own a Pro 7i 2023. The Pro 7i is thinner but it also has a vapor chamber, resulting in slightly better temperatures than the Pro 5i for the power. But the Pro 5i does run cooler only because its components draw less power. Either way, if you're getting a 4060 or 4070, both won't be anywhere near thermal throttling.
