This laptop is just such a beast! Acer just pulled a total 180 as a company. I will never underestimate them again! The 16 AI is also excellent but the Predator Helios 18 AI is a new class of desktop replacement. Both have RTX 5090’s but the Predator Helios 18 AI supports 192 GB of 6400 MHZ DDR5! Unbeatable value too, thousands cheaper than the MSI Titan 18 HX AI, and superior performance to boot! I am calling it, this may be one of, if not THE absolute fastest laptops in 2025!

I would like to have the Helios 16 with an RTX 5080, but the problem is its availability, software, and locked GPU and CPU. I cannot configure it on their website, unlike Lenovo, in my country. I like Lenovo Legion laptops, but the build materials they chose for their Legion Pro 7i are much worse than those of the Legion 7i, and it lacks a fingerprint scanner or IR camera. To get the build materials and features of the Legion 7i and the internals of the Legion Pro 7i, one has to buy the Legion 9i, but even then, one must compromise with a smaller keyboard area and touchpad.

At least they’ve brought back many of those features the Legion Pro 7i was missing last year. It’s got fingerprint scanning and seems to be better build quality this year. It’s honestly just a beefier Legion 7i now with the side ports and everything.

I advise you to take a closer look at the ASUS ROG Strix SCAR series, even if there is no fingerprint scanner, an IR camera appeared this year, cool devices.

I have ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18 G834-N6019, Cool device. ACER Predator Helios 18 made a beautiful device this year, the power supply is powerful, impressive, we are waiting for tests and reviews from Gizmo, we are more attracted to 18" devices, I think this year no one will be inferior to each other in performance, they will compete in price. Remove Gizmo There are also new Alienware laptops, I think no one is indifferent to them :)

Exactly, that is why razer introduced the new usb 4 dock and called/ marketed as the usb 4 dock, because they planned on releasing the AMD 16 blade. The 18 2024 blade TB5 was supposed to be a big selling point but razer seems to be moving a different way with the 16 inch. I think Gizmo mentioned that the new Blade 16 will have TB5 but that’s simply not true.
