As a 1LE owner, this makes my happy! Another 50hp and the C8s advantage on the straights would have disappeared.

@@al151 no intake or tune. Drivetrain is completely stock. Just have wheels, tires, brake rotors, pads, and brake fluid. Car is still under GM’s warranty to include track warranty (3yr/60k mile power train warranty). Once that’s up then I may do some things.

I had the opportunity to drive my 2017 A8 2SS around the track a few years ago during a break in the vintage car race day. So much fun! My passenger was screaming during the s turn at 95 mph, lol. I now own a 2017 ZL1 10 speed and I’m thinking about joining the driving club at road Atlanta. I’m a fan of IMSA and make it down there for petit le man every year!!

That's hilarious. I was literally just watching him row gears thinking the same thing. I was like, "3-4 at 99-100 mph???" I have a 2019 Camaro SS 1le. He definitely is not pulling top RPM or speed shifting early like that.

I have a 22 2ss 1le and love the car. I was wondering what tires are you running? I recommend Cup 2s with 315 rear and 295 fronts. You can definitely shave more time. They fit on the stock wheels.

Was this a HPDE or a Club event? I drove my SS around the track years ago but we couldn't exceed 60mph! I now have a 1LE and don't really want to track it but would love to take it out there and I live in the area also.

Im telling you man. They built the 1LE too well. Lmao. I love my 1LE, but still planning on trading into a C7 Z06 or GS eventually. I made the mistake of test driving a Z51 and fell even more in love with the C7. Problem is if you want to upgrade from an SS 1LE, you gotta go to a GS or Z06 😅

It was a base C8 corvette. He was a good driver.

@@gizmotron2030 Looks like a Z51 actually, it has the Z51-exclusive spoiler. I also don't think a standard C8 would remotely keep up with a 1LE on the track.

@@nickydrifts all the C8 corvettes can get that spoiler. The “high wing” spoiler is specific to the Z51. Another thing you’re over looking is how balanced the C8 is. With a good driver and good set of tires it’s going to beat a lot of cars. The z51 pack just builds upon that. The z51 comes with black wheels and a front lip for aesthetics. Look at this video to see a z51 on track. C8 Corvette Z51 vs BMW M4 Competition @Road Atlanta. It’s one of my vids where I drive a M4 and a z51 C8 kicks my but.
