What's the difference between the PEG tube and a PEG J tube? As I have a gtube in my abdomen past 30 years and recently I seem to be having problems with the gastric contents lately leaking out and leaking out.

i know this is late but a peg goes to the stomach but a peg j tube goes to both the stomach and the duodenum

I have a j tube that is stitched in and have had nothing but trouble with the stitched places..I have had cancer and most of my stomach is removed. Is there a more permanent solution than this? It is too much to deal with the constant pain of the irritated stitches.
