I like the look of these rotors, but if I had to do it again. I would have just bought blanks that have the correct top hat size for my G30 calipers. That way I wouldn’t have to modify the brake pads to fit.

Spacer is to center the caliper over the rotor. If not you will end up with one pad contacting the rotor much sooner or dragging.

I picked up a set of 550i GT rotors. My stock pads had to be trimmed to fit the rotor hat. I plan to upgrade pads soon, because the brake dust on these stock pads are insane. From what I’ve found, I can use the smaller 344mm pads and I won’t have to trim them, although I will have to slot the retaining pin slots.

The brake kit should not require coding. You may want to use Ista or different software for the brake bleed procedure.

With improvements in technology if there are any differences I would imagine it would be in favor or the newer design. I would research more regarding all F series models and mounting. I zeroed in on my vehicle.

Yeah, I’m using rotors from a f series. You could use rotors from a g series as long as the thickness and diameter works.

I just connected the brake lines to the new calipers. The lines are fine and do not rub anywhere.

Yes, from what i understand the calipers will mount up the same, the only difference will be rotors and pads.

Yes, no adapters just a few washers as spacers. If you pick up the correct rotors you won’t need to trim the pads as well.

@JohnsonMotorsports Thanks! I might have screwed up and ordered wrong calipers off ebay. They have different part number, they are G12 but have the same mm dimensions on the back and look exactly like the g30, I believe they are the same hopefully

If you plan to keep it long term then it could be worth it, if you only would keep it for a shorter period, you will want to price compare to other cars available on the market and base you search off of the 150k miles.
