I have no words. The POWER. In my opinion, not to say yours isn’t valid, this deserved top 3, but as it’s quite ”boring” to listen to most of the time (nothing standing out and having a chill vibe) it doesn’t deserve to win, whereas Måneskin basically brought back Rock n’ Roll completely. I thought maneskin were cool at first, but I am so sick of hearing them now as they arent as good as other rock groups on my play list and their version of Beggin is the worst of all the covers. They have talent sure, but it was a fleeting thing for me. Their new stuff isn't as good as their pre eurovision stuff either. On the other hand, I still listen to Tout l'univers and Repondez Moi on a weekly basis and still get moved by the melody, vocals and meaning behind the songs....and then there's sillohouette which is divine. Just read the lyrics in english (that's not my native language either), and that translation made me cry. Wish i understood french, i bet there is even more power in those words. as a french person, it is so, SO f**king rare to hear such MAJESTIC and BREATHTAKING songs in french nowadays. i've been absolutely obsessed with this song ever since listening to it. he gave me a mix of daniel balavoine and gregory lemarchal vibes while still having his own flawless distinct style. truly such a blessing to listen to, i feel so grateful! i hope his high score inspires artists to sing more french songs like this in the following years for eurovision.
