Great, but how to connect to Sirius XM on the 2009 model. Also oh, it's a Mercedes 2000 C-Class. When I use the air conditioner or heater the drivability of the car is VERY affected. The car starts shaking and behaving as if it's not getting gasoline as I slow down and come to a stop. It seems like the car is going to shut down completely but it doesn't. If I turn the car off it seems to eliminate the problem slightly but the problem comes back quickly. All the problems completely went away and the car was driving really well until the temperature dropped to around 30°. And again when I pushed a button to open the trunk the engine shaking problem returned. Do you have any idea why these problems would be interlinked? Could it be electrical?Again, I would so appreciate your help! Thank you.

I think u may have a misfire in some of your cylinders, when u turn the ac one it amplifies the misfires and causes the shaking. I am not 100% sure but that’s my guess

One more comment, sorry. I love love love my Mercedes. After reading comments about the C-Class I see that my car is not the nicest Mercedes and that does make me extremely sad! But, it is the most comfortable car I have ever driven!!! The steering in my Mercedes beyond anything I've ever experienced! It feels like pure luxury to steer the car. I'm not just saying this I really love this car! You truly hoping I will be able to save it!

To set the clock Go to settings using the icons below the arrow keys on the left side of the steering. Use the arrow keys on the left to select Date and time. Correct your time using arrow keys on the right side meant for volume.When your time is correct press R button on the cluster then your clock will set itself.Dont jump to correct date no remain on time then do date after time.l can post a video for you.

Either you can go the dealer, or you can find a second-hand FOB key from a parts car. The spare FOB key will need to be reprogrammed to work with your car.

Also, if you pull the top, small lever behind the steering wheel, the car presses on the break for you so you don’t have to. To disable, just do the opposite: press away from you and you will hear a ding if you aren’t already presenting on the gas.

You missed one hack from the old days! If you open the trunk you can pull out the switch on the trunk itself to turn the light off in the trunk while working. Back then 40W of festoon can kill your battery

You own an older car; have the system checked and add freon.

There is a heater control valve in the engine bay under the windshield wiper motor famously called the Duo Valve that fails, it costs around $45, change it should take care of your issue. you can double check with star diagnostics or I Car soft MB to confirm.

It was introduced as early as 1991 with the W140, but it only closed the windows AFAIK.

Here’s a good one......if you are having a problem with your Mercedes and there is no code produced to describe the code......you are screwed.,...No code..no problem. Mercedes will not look any further than their noses. The mechanics are not allowed to research or diagnose the problem. No code, no problem. In fact, if you complain too much, Mercedes will cease to service your car and decline to even change the oil. You agree to this when you buy it. This is their way out to fixing an inherent flaw.....a factory defect they can get away with. No buyers remorse because you bought it. .....defects and all. If you have any doubt, just ask you service guy about a problem when there is no code. You will know right away he is telling you a lie. Watch his eyes.

If you are sitting in a restaurant or close enough anyway for your remote key access fob to work ,it's possible that you INADVERTENTLY open all the windows to your car . Not a good concept to my mind.

Your concern is valid. But, not likely to happen. The key button has to be held for long enough time that accidental or unintended depression of the button will not trigger opening of the windows. I've used this feature for many years. Never had a problem. On one of those really hot days its a god sent benefit.
