the name of the band is originally one o'clock. they change it to one ok rock cause mostly the japanese people pronounce 'clock' as 'krock' so they decided to change it to one ok rock. that's why the light that the fans had is in the form of watch

I'm going to their tour in October and I'm so stoked about it! Also, this video is a selection from on of their concert DVDs. Taka has killer vocals and there are so many live videos out there for you to check out. You will be shocked by how stable his vocals are. Also, the members were born in 87, 88, and 89. Also, they have been signed to American labels (alongside their Japanese label) since 2015 (Warner Bros and now Fueled by Ramen) so they have albums fully in English. They also have a new album releasing in September (they released a single for it in July called "Save Yourself."

oh gosh I didn’t know how much I needed you guys to react to One Ok Rock. I’m really glad you liked them! Their sound brings a feeling of comfort and nostalgia to me and they are absolutely insane live. Taka’s voice is absolutely incredible and his delivery just pulls your heartstrings. If you’re interested there is a documentary about them on Netflix. In my opinion it really shows their professionalism and love for music and performance. I’ve been listening to them since around 2008/9 so they mean a lot to me for sure and it’s quite rare for me to keep listening to modern artists with the same enthusiasm for such a long time.

they're known for being better at live than studio ver. of their songs so this is definitely live! for the sound quality, it probably has something to do with the good mixing! Nice reaction. There’s also another version of this song (18 Fes) where they invite a thousand 18 year old fans to perform with them. It’s epic! I hope you continue to check out their music. They have so many more great songs. Their live shows are almost always better. You will find out soon how good they are.. and Taka’s vocals are one of the best out there today. Saw them perform live 2 times. They're my all time favorite since I was in college. Their songs varied from inlove to heartbroken to inspirational to who the hell are you type of song. They can hype the crowd and even if you're watching through screen, their energy transcends through it. The crowd backing vocals during the chorus are pre-recorded--the original version of this song (the 18fes version others have recommended) was recorded with a choir. This version of the song has some of those choir vocals in the backing track. I'm not sure how much production/editing this particular video went through, but I can say that, having seen this band live in a relatively small club, Taka's vocals really do sound this good live.

As a person who attended this concert as well as many Japanese concerts on "DVD recording nights", it's not dubbed. Japan has some of the best equipment to capture the sound of the audience. Japan is one of the only countries with a large Live DVD/Bluray consumer base when it comes to live music.

Oh my favorite band!!! So happy you have some OOR. They have tons of music. The old stuff heavier. Everything live is extraordinary: it sounds amazing, like a studio version. Toru, Ryota and Tomoya great musicians and Taka´s voice is my favorite of all Rock bands. Please do a lot more of OOR. They will be touring in the US this September. So this particular song was written for the 18 Fes in japan. You should check out that version. It also has the translation and this song is super emotional. It helps to show that the audience is really singing. One thing that you have to understand about Japanese bands, they are perfectionist and a lot of the bands are just as good live as they are recorded. Band-Maid is a perfect example, same with Wagakki Band. The vocals and the instrumentation were recorded from the concert, the audience interaction is real. OOR has many many live performances on youtube that you can find. Orchestral, Acoustic, you name it. Your journey is just starting into the world of Japanese Rock.
