Yes, the piece itself is deeply emotional and there's a dark sadness in its core, but via Lugansky's performance-or "storytelling", as how I like to think it-the narrative of music transcends into a powerful, gloomy tragedy. You're now looking at the face of sorrow, of grief, of anguish, of depression.
