una interpretazione immensa , e come tale eterna ...RICHTER entra nell'immaginario dell'autore e ce lo traduce...sembra quasi di sentire attraverso la sua interpretazione quello che l'autore voleva dirci...questo talento RICHTER lo ha come nessun altro pianista...le sue interpretazioni sono davvero ri-creazioni dell'opera...grazie infinite a chi ci consente di riascoltarlo...

He is in exceptionally great form here, but maybe your yardstick is off to actually judge a performance. I've heard Richter in recital 16 times and there were On and Off days. This definitely would have qualified as an On day.

One has to remember that during this late stage of his life and career he was'nt enjoying the best of health. His unique musical insight and artistic vision remains even if his once formidable technique had somewhat diminished. Incidentally his 1955 Moscow performance of this work is sublime.
