Evellina... Please just do 1-1000, 2-1000 when you putt... It will modulate your rhythm and especially help you miss almost zero short putts.. 1, 2, chains

Well.. Zero makes first round C1X.. So she didn't make any putt outside 11 feet. Fortunately she had a good excuse on that round to lay up outside 25ft, just like everyone else did. Her technique looks horrific though and on top of that she has lost her confidence and might even have yips symptoms. The situation is bad. Real bad.

@@akezika yeah if she could make 70% C1X she'd be leading by 10 strokes at the very least. If she made like 90% from 15 feet, she would be European Champion last year by a mile and so on. It's really bad. If Pierce plays one good round she will blow past Salonen with her pace. The only reason rn she is leading is because of her drive.

@@akezika The funny thing is that if she had her putting on point she would have already won this tournament. She would probably be like -10, -12 or whatever and others would need a round of their life to catch her. It hurts me watching her miss those puts. Hope she gets better and wins this and other tournaments to come.

Her social media presence is one of the strongest in FPO, which was the primary reason for the high contract. I can’t say whether it’s been a good choice by DD, but one good reason to get a player with high social media presence is that Kona is able to hold considerable sway over anyone who follows her, which will create a higher rate of disc sales in terms of the people exposed to her. Whether this is going to create more sales than a higher level player who hits lead card more consistently, it’s hard to say. I’ll be interested to see what happens at the end of her contract and whether she manages to pick her putting up so she can be more of a contender.

Watching Eveliina putting is painfull. So many missed C1 putts. Imagine how she would do if she got her putting under control.

RULES QUESTION: At 5:30, Paige yanks a hot mess into the woods on the right. Can she re-tee a "provisional" just in case her lie is unplayable and then take that provisional if it's parked for bogey and just ignore the first throw OR ignore the provisional if it isn't parked and instead try to scramble for par/bogey with the first shot?

A provisional is only if there is a question about the rules, such as if you are unsure whether your lie is OB or where to take your lie after going OB - you play out the hole two ways and then you check with the tournament director after the round as to which way was correct. You can’t call a provisional to give yourself two options to complete the hole and try to give yourself an advantage. She needs to decide to re-tee or take the lie of her throw before throwing anything else.

Hole 17 commentator said she used her caddie to define the OB line. The rules say you can’t use a device to aid a shot or a object as a directional aid. Not sure a caddie counts as an object, but I would think so. Might want to check to make sure you don’t get penalized in the future.

There were several plant-foot-on-disc foot faults during the round. I honestly am not sure if they notice it when they do it. And also, at that point the other players were dispersed throughout the fairway walking down their own drives, so highly unlikely there would have been anyone to second it.

@@OneHippiesMusings yeah it's crazy that most likely some are getting punished out there on the course and some aren't. This is why there should be a marshall on every card in pro play but we obviously can't do that yet. Oh and yes it does matter a lot if you don't have to worry about planting behind the disc precisely. It's not easy and takes effort, thus hinders other areas of your shot(or doesn't if don't bother taking the rule serious).

@@jibbacraftteamplays1282 yeah I noticed and have noticed before. Happens on mpo too but rarely on coverage. This might be something the pdga should look at, go over some footage and get data on how many times this actually happens. I'm not even looking for them and they don't always show feet and still catch them often.
