Nice course. Open compared to woods courses, but still quite technical. It was a nice mix of scoring and punishment. Nice landing zones that you either hit, or had to make bigtime putts like Lisa and Valerie on 14 for birdies. As low as these women scored they didn't have a ton of kick-in birdies, they earned quite a few with good putts. Probably scored a little lower than the designers would have wanted, you probably don't want 8 or 9 down on a single round, but a fair test, sometimes the putters are hot. Have to wonder if anyone told Gannon what Pierce did on the day before she decided to challenge that putt on 18, I guess when you're rolling you're rolling. #teamnolayup?.

It’s better if they play different courses. Otherwise, they design the course for MPO and then either just increase par for FPO or throw down a tee pad as best as they can. Either way, it often results in a layout that isn’t good for FPO. Either birdie is possible or par is hard. If more than 50% get par then it isn’t a good hole. I think ideally, you want a scoring spread of 20% birdies, 40% pars, and the rest worse. I am not positive about this. I know Madison has mentioned 20% birdies being ideal. I think 20% par, 40% bogey, and the rest worse would also be okay. There just needs to be some scoring separation possible.

They do. The MPO play NW Black and Eureka Lake Tourney setup. The FPO plays NW Black shorts, and Sunset Hills.
