“We are all human beings.” “I’m a bit of a perfectionist”.”There is a whole chosen family waiting for you.””When you grow up you are shrouded in shame.” “See the world through innocent eyes.” Robbie so lucky to have two loving dads. Tom stands on the shoulders of many courageous LGBTQ intentional and unintentional advocates. He is now an advocate in his own right, with a global platform, as the movement evolves. Being married to Lance, a significant LGBTQ advocate, himself having a major platform, through film and tv, seems to have been destined. They are a power couple who use their voices to create change in laws and policies. Giving the youth of the world powerful role models in both their personal and professional lives. Their message of equality, acceptance, make the change you want to see, brings much hope to LGBTQ people around the world. - A 🇨🇦 ally.

Tom Daley is the best! He is so real. And can we talk about how cute their family is? Whether or not it matters, I happen to be a 57 year-old, happily married, heterosexual wife, mother, friend, etc. I value authenticity above everything. Tom Daley is the real deal. Thanks for this. I really enjoyed it. : )

Times were very much different when I was growing up. We had to live in the shadows and do our very best to appear straight. We were all called pansy, queen, queer, Fargo, sissy and worse. Made fun of in school. Snide remarks were the norm when walking through the school halls. You young people make me finally proud to now be a PROUD GAY MAN!!! God bless you and thank you for being you.

There was a golden opertunity missed in the middle of the interview, if you had asked Toms mom for her perspective of Tom's coming out , it would have added a huge amount of weight to the discussion. I am nearly 70 now but I still remember how well my mum took it when I told her, back then my mum was ahead of her time.

Nice to hear that Matthew Mitcham's example was a help to Tom in coming out. They completed against each other a few times. Visibility matters. (Matthew is now living in the UK. I wonder whether they've met.)

@@miminounoushe591 don't take in a offensive way, but you say you love lance on other side you want him to get hurt and leave tom, then you wanna enter the picture as a true lover.. what kind of love is this? They accept they had a rough past but now they consider each other as soulmates. If you really love him, just prayer he never ever gets hurt and lives healthy and happily with tom, robbie and his family (Amen to that ❤) and I hope you too meet your soulmate soon (but that is not lance, sorry 🙈) And as lance always say- spread love not hate (peace✌)

I’m a huge fan of Toms and him not mentioning Matty when talking about winning the gold was very disrespectful. It took two to win the gold. The rest of the interview was very inspiring.
@carladolfing3 жыл бұрын
He mentioned and thanked Matty in lots of other interviews. They are very close friends.This interview was more about his family and the lgtb+ community.
@kallysheng38373 жыл бұрын
If you go back to 3:58 and listen, although Tom didn’t say Matty’s name, he did mention “… my synchro partner… there are so many people behind that medal.” What he said was true, although he and Matty both put in a lot of work but they couldn’t have done it without all the other’s supports.

Wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction(hell), but small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life(heaven), only a few find it.Matthew7:13 Believe in God's son Jesus today, repent of your sin, dont be left behind.

Maybe you should take a moment and listen to the interview. Tom talks so passionately about being seen as a human and about treating everybody with kindness. I would suggest you take a leaf out of his ‘book’ instead of the one you are quoting, which seems to be more about judgement and destruction than it does kindness. The irony is startling.
