We just ride Glacier Express last August from St. Moritz to Zermatt & it was amazinggggg. The landscape that we passed were breathtaking.

I rode the train from Tirino to St-Moritz in June 2011 and was forced to ride in 2nd class at the end of the train. Much to my delight the windows slide down half way and I never did get to first class section. We did not have as good weather as seen here but it was still an awesome ride through Switzerland.

Zermatt is where one goes to see Matterhorn, after which one could go to another place in CH or cross over into Italy, which in fact can be done right at Matterhorn.

Thanks. This trip was six weeks long. I started in Paris, then Budapest, Prague, Vienna, and Berlin. Then I took a Baltic cruise and ended the trip with 12 days in Switzerland. I book everything myself. Half the fun is in the planning, I like to do it myself.
