I love your review, honest feedback base on fact, not hype up like other CC with Lucius and other heroes in the past, spend all resources to get them only to have them sitting in inventory

I enjoyed hearing your perspective, and it did give a lot of insight. If some people feel like this is unfair testing, it is. You even mentioned multiple times in the video that different stimulus could be added or taken away to improve one champ or the other and that this was just a base testing to compare and speculate. With saying that, I do think you are right when you say his true potential probably won't be fully realized until future content becomes available. I feel at times the developers were at some point very disgruntled Raid players. Raid back in the day had some decent concepts, but never implemented them without angering the masses. A lot of Moonton's content seems like their version of doing the concept correctly. I wouldn't be surprised if Semrah (Hydra weekly boss) gets a new rotational arm phase that has AE freeze with detrimental effects incomming.

Yep, 100%! I appreciate that you picked up on that in my video!! There's a lot of hype out there for different heroes and I never mean for any of my takes to be definitive. This game is very situational, both the content and team building will drastically influence the results you see in game. My goal is to provide a realistic assessment of a heroes performance especially when considering the context of the other heroes in the game and how that might ultimately influence team building. This kind of perspective may not be for everyone though haha.

Kinda bummed about this because I got him instead of Hatssut. Hopefully with all the freeze based heroes they've been releasing lately they'll come out with content that really utilizes it.

@@BluntgutsGaming True! My problem is that I don't know where I'll use him at the moment except maybe to finish stage 12 in the faction trials. I'm to the point of needing heroes to help with more end game content and he doesn't seem to be too viable for what's out now.

The data sets on Glacius's damage just doesn't make sense.... There has to be an error - either in the game or your testing. I am interested to see how this plays out. I was going to pull Glacius for A1, but if he's bugged I won't waste my time.

@@ryanwilliams165 Yeah it's odd no doubt, rng is definitely a thing in his kit. Fwiw I set up an auto run and just recorded the results I got. The gear was not changed, and I actively watched the runs to make sure that ultimates were being used on cool down. My best guess is that it is rng due to his freeze damage increase passive, but failing that it could be a bug. Fwiw I don't think he's a must have whether he's bugged or not. He's probably more valuable if you have Eldrr and are interested in trying to run a northerner comp, but I'm not sure what content he's really needed for at the moment

You should try another test with iovar and eldr and bring Gwendolyn that would bebinteresting

Could probably slant this in the favor of Glacius even more and still watch Silas come out on top by using epic lords. Remove Aracha’s distance bonus and add Isolde’s shields.

@@ShawnYocom 100%, maybe unbonded Silas would have lost out or at least been closer but I think the only way you see bonded Silas lose against Glacius would be if you built a team to specifically enable Glacius, which would be at the expense of the rest of your team

I enjoy glacious. I still want him a3 and seeing as he isnt that far from silas dmg at a3 isnt that bad. Use him in my northern team with elddr and been winning. He is tanky so mages dont take him out if you place him near the tank.

He's a great hero. I think I came off as being a Glacius-hater in this video but I do think he's good, but I want to be realistic at the same time. Definitely unique and an awesome kit!!

Probably similar output in this test I would guess, but on higher end content I think the unbonded Silas would still fare better because of the defense ignore

Appreciate the testing. However, I don't believe this test was fair considering how unique each hero's kit is. Testing northerner DPS with King harz and no shield provider (vortex and Gwen) sounds like a handicap already. Silas has Aracha already, so it's only fair that Glacius should have Elddr or Rork. And have a vortex to give more regular shields than lord skill provides.

I hear you, but imo Harz was the shield provider. You're not typically going to be bringing vortex or Gwendolyn into endgame content so that's how I structured my test. Beyond that the content I did the test on caters much more to Glacius' skill set than Silas'. This testing is by no means the be all end all, and as I mentioned several times if you're looking to artificially inflate Glacius' damage there are ways to do it. To do so in regular content though would be at the expense of the team, so imo it doesn't make sense to test him that way.

@@BluntgutsGaming Harz provides shields at intervals but his legendary lord skill won't help Glacius as much as Aracha's helps Silas. Elddr would've made significant difference and more fitting for a DPS comparison. I'm assuming Silas the full DEF ignore from bond (which is essentially true damage that can crit) as well so the content doesn't really cater more to Glacius than it does Silas

@@aldmerian If I brought in Eldrr I would have felt compelled to bring in Iovar too which would have further widened the gap. As I explained in the video I didn't feel like bringing in an ancient exclusive lord that most accounts do not have made sense. That Aracha is better than Harz/Isolde/Rork is relevant - faction matters a lot in this game.

​@@BluntgutsGaming considering it's a hero vs and not a faction vs, it would've been fair to give each hero an offensive Lord or use epic lords so it's a level field. It happens that Northerners have one defensive lord and one offensive Lord while boith piecer lords are offensive. If if was intended to be a Piercer vs Northern comparison though, then fair play
