The staged sea battles did happen. The Roamsn built a piping system that allowed them to quickly fill up and empy large amounts of water to create ship battles for the gladiotors. It sounds insane, but the Romans were known to be excellent engineers.

They did flood the coloseum, to re-enact sea battles. There's documented proof from the time. The great area had architectural features such as underground passages and lifts that would be impressive today.

Yeah they actually used to flood the Colosseum regularly to simulate sea battles. Pretty crazy, huh?

Near the end of the Roman empire when things got ridiculous, they did go and flood and do the spectacle to keep the crowds happy

The slaves that were killed in the construction of the sea events was considerably higher than the usual events. They were so in need of a new spectacle the people simply didnt care... 👀

Started epic.. music.. muscle.. but I started to lose interest in the trailer! Needs a strong storyline, good dialogue too and a touch of wit from someone.
