Instead of Ridley Scott doing a sequel/prequel to Gladiator, he should release this in 4K. Off topic, can Parliament do Black Hawk Down in 4K. That would be epic with the shooting sequences and very challenging with the sound effects
@DestinyAwaits193 жыл бұрын
@@millsshumps1968 Black Hawk Down is already out on 4K. That's another Ridley classic. If Gladiator was an all- time epic Gladiatorial tale of blood and sand then Black Hawk Down it's the greatest recreation of Modern Warfare ever committed to film. @michieldeprez40253 жыл бұрын
@@AwkwardDuck14 yeah you're right but that kind of aesthetic body probably wasn't desirable for gladiators. Archaeological finds indicate they ate a lot of wheats to and beans. This probably gave them the necessary layers of fat to protect there vital organs for surface cuts, while at the same time giving the crowd a bloody (non lethal) spectacle. They were very muscular alright, just not perfectly in shape like athletes.
@CountArtha3 жыл бұрын
Maximus figured out a way to meta-game this little test that would let him thrive when the REAL competition started. The Romans had a saying that "the tallest poppy gets cut down first," and hiding the fact that he was the best fighter in the whole bunch lets Maximus be a big fish in a small pond. He realizes the gladiators are being sorted into "red" and "yellow" classes, with the stronger fighters being red. He was hiding his power level (so to speak) so he'd be classed as yellow, facing weaker opponents. Proximo has something different in mind, pairing yellow and red fighters into two-man teams for a tournament melee - but it still works out for Maximus because instead of being given a weak "yellow" ally, he gets to fight with a strong 'red ally," Juba, and they are easily the most bad-ass team in the melee.
