@@silvertheelf I think you're both hugely incorrect and overly analyzing that guys comment, firstly gladiators were massively expensive to train so unless it was for a huge event they didn't fight to the death, also gladiators weren't just criminals but also captured soldiers and citizens from the countries Rome sent her legions to. Lastly, why say "humans are a chaotic spices, they try to fix what doesn’t need fixing and they try to do what should not be done." the only reason you would say that was if you were some edgy person who thinks they know better than the entire human race. quite frankly there are no right answers when it comes to things like this and every body has their own approach and views on life and none are considered wrong, this is because humans are so diverse and different that there are no singular right answers. there are only different paths that lead to a profitable and thriving life. but what do i know, I'm just a historian with a PHD in psychology, and that is on top of the PHD in both European and American Histories. Hey guys! Today we have a tournament at the colosseum! 8 Gladiators will fight to the death to gain their freedom. (BTW I named the Gladiators after subscribers who donated money for the Total War Tavern website, which is currently being updated, it's almost ready). This is a mod for Total War Attila you can find it in the steam workshop just search for Colosseum. The mod is a little buggy, so I had to do a lot of things on the fly, this is definitely not my best work.(The replays crashed the game and I had to record the battles live) But considering all the bugs and crashing I think it turned out pretty well. I spent HOURS and HOURS working on this, so I would really appreciate a like :D. Also the skin color of the Gladiators change, so if you're trying to follow your favorite one, look at his unique weapon. Enjoy the Tournament!

Captain Invisible had a great advantage... he had more armor than all of his opponents. Also, I wanted to point out, bigger shields give you a higher chance to win, so not only did he have more armor, but he also boasted a giant shield.

Women warriors known as Achillia and Amazon became famous and wealthy from having an exciting fight. It was a draw, but the spectators loved the fight, so they both became quite rich from it. Yes, people. Women. Would also like to mention dual wielding was not used by anyone. Except the Romans. So it would mean that the gladiator of said weapons was very experienced.
