Movie was made a few years ago when the liberals and Disney types thought they were on a roll by making up history and trying to make blacks and gays feel good about their selves with fake history. Sort of like that horrible prequel to Game of Thrones Dragons crap. Hollywood is a tick box organisation of DEI, see what a film has to do to be put in for an Oscar, turning out pretty much total crap movies, the outcome, has cinema (Hollywood movies) viewing been going down or increasing worldwide? Russell Crowe Gladiator movie was a good movie, it lacked one thing which would have made it a great movie. A second battle scene with the felix legions marching on Rome as Crow was attempting to organise towards the end of the movie. then - nothing, the plot was discovered and the movie fizzled from that point. Still a good movie though

@@david9783 My degree in history was enabled by my final term paper, on, yes, The Games of Rome. You do know that the colosseum was mainly a place where criminals were executed? Like those silly Christians who cheered the burning of Rome on a hillside in full view of people, and Nero, needed a scapegoat, had them (about 20 or so) burned alive there, which was the Roman punishment's for arson? Yes, it was taken to an excess, but does no one talk about the Celts burning people alive in wicker cages? I could go on, but brutal punishment's are norm in history, not abnormal. I mean, even today, we execute people by suffocating them to death with drugs, even though an OD of phentonal or heroin would be much less painful. If you were a historian, you'd know nothing changes under the sun.
